Section 1: South Cape to Edward Castle

  1. Advance the events with friends in the coastal cave, speak to the grandparents at home, and head to the castle. Before leaving, check 3 jewels at the church, Rob's basement, and the fisher.
  2. Speak to Karen on castle floor 3. Back on floor 1, speak to the soldier behind the right-hand pillar for a jewel, then enter the king's room.
  3. Inspect the cell's wall, door, and iron ball, then advance the food and flute events. Speak to Peggy from the door's left side, then select and use the received Prison Key.
  4. Instead of pushing the immovable rusty switch, jump down onto it from the high ledge directly above. Take the chest in the opened room.
  5. Use Laura's Melody where flowers bloom in a corner to open the route. Transform into Freedan in Dark Space and proceed using his long sword.
  6. In Lily's conversation room, inspect the lower barrel too. After rescuing Karen from the roof, take meat in the castle basement and return to South Cape.
  7. Meet Jeweler Gem in South Cape and collect rewards for sent jewels. Follow Lily to Itory Village.

Section 2: Itory to Inca Ruins and drifting at sea

  1. On arrival, use Laura's Melody to reveal the village. Examine firewood left of the entrance and learn Psycho Dash in the northern Dark Space.
  2. Keep running from the slope to cross toward the graves and speak to the elder. Use Psycho Dash on the upper cave wall for Statue A, then receive Statue B from the Moon Tribe cave's trial.
  3. Obtain the Diamond Block at Larai Cliff and use it in the hole in the spiked area on the right. Also investigate the route descending between bridges.
  4. In the golden-floor room, pull statues with L/R and line them up on the floor. Farther on, transform into Freedan and defeat the golden-face enemies.
  5. After learning the Wind Melody, return to the golden floor as Tem. Use the melody and wait on the glowing floor to open the passage.
  6. At the 2 large face statues, use 1 Inca Statue on each. The boss entrance opens by waiting at the middle of the 3 pillars lined up on the left.
  7. Against Lava Body, deal with the hands before targeting the head. Approach during its vulnerable period and retreat upward when it glows.
  8. Take the Mystery Doll from the cabin chest on the Gold Ship, then speak to the lookout to depart. Sleep in the cabin bed and advance the dream events.
  9. After waking, speak to Morris on deck for a jewel before advancing other events. After the ship events, catch fish and continue conversations with Karen while drifting.
  10. On waking at Diamond Coast, inspect the pot outside the entrance first. Collect its jewel before advancing Karen's conversation, then proceed to Freejia.

Section 3: Freejia to the mine and Sky Garden

  1. Inspect the inn's floor-2 pot and beyond the eastern flowerbed. Also collect the jewel for reporting the escaped slave to the merchant before leaving town.
  2. Ask about Erik, then attack the backstreet house's door to progress. Advance into the mine while rescuing prisoners.
  3. Press 4 switches on the mine's central high ground. Break the wall where hair blows in the wind using Psycho Dash, then receive 3 jewels from the buried person.
  4. Open the breakable wall farther in and make sure to learn Dark Friar in Dark Space. Defeat distant enemies to remove the obstacle before the slope, then take the Lift Key.
  5. Ride the lift underground. For the door with two keyholes, obtain one Mine Key from the prisoner to its right and another southeast of the room with the corpse on the left.
  6. Receive the Memory Melody from Samus beyond the door. Return to the inn and use it before Rob to restore his memory.
  7. Examine inventions at Neil's cottage and advance the conversation. Find the Moon Tribe at Nazca Plain, then speak to Neil to reach Sky Garden.
  8. Explore 4 directions from the garden entrance. Switches on the reverse side alter front-side passages; return to check after pressing them.
  9. Break swords on swordsman statues before pulling them with L/R. Use Freedan for distant enemies/switches and Tem's techniques for green statues and slopes.
  10. Place 4 Crystal Balls in the entrance recesses, then defeat High Wind beyond the opened path. Jump from the garden to advance.

Section 4: Seaside Palace to Mu

  1. Find Lily in the palace and inspect a coffin for the Purification Stone. Open the 3 jewel chests too.
  2. Use the Purification Stone at the blood fountain. Receive the Seaside Palace Key from the restored resident, then open the upper door to Mu.
  3. Open Mu's first chest even though it is empty. Watch the progression conversation, then take the Prayer Statue where the stone statues' gazes intersect.
  4. Use it in the Prayer Room to lower the water. Pull blue rings with L/R to make rebounding platforms. Pull again partway up slopes where needed.
  5. Learn Psycho Slider in Dark Space. Pass through low passages and lower the water again with the 2nd Prayer Statue.
  6. Collect 2 Rama Statues and use them at the altar. Also check the Red Jewel chest south of the 2nd Prayer Room.
  7. Avoid being caught between the 2 vampires. Focus attacks on one and leave positions where the other's attacks overlap.
  8. After victory, cut the planted bomb's fuse. Do not leave it merely because combat ended; advance the events to Angel Village.

Section 5: Angel Village to the Great Wall

  1. Inspect the dance hall fountain, search for Karen, and head to Ishtar's Studio. Follow the wind using torch flames and the direction your hair blows.
  2. Inspect the wall between 2 torches blowing differently from the others. Use Psycho Slider for narrow holes and ordinary running for strong-wind passages.
  3. The studio's 4 trials compare pot color, pot color, chest contents, and wind blowing on Tem. Collect the herb and jewel from the 3rd chest.
  4. Use the Magic Powder reward on Karen's painting. In Watermia, inspect the town pot and gambling hall pot.
  5. Read Rob's Letter added to inventory. At the Great Wall's glowing spot, inspect the necklace stone, then attack the switch beyond the stairs.
  6. Enter downhill slopes already running. Descend through the hole near the central stairs and learn Spin Dash in Dark Space.
  7. Return to the previous sector, cross obstacles, and transform into Freedan farther in. Defeat archers with Dark Friar to open the passage.
  8. Pull clay statues with L/R to make a route. In the last sector, return to Tem and use Spin Dash over the obstacle before the boss.
  9. Reduce Sand Fanger's offspring first. Back in town, ride the center of the lotus drifting from the gambling hall's right side and advance the Russian Glass events.

  2. Hear Rofsky and Erasquez's story and head to Mountain Sanctuary. While still able to return to Watermia, speak to Lily and Rob for a jewel.
  3. Use Tem's Spin Dash across mountain slopes. Obtain Mushroom Drops and apply them to severed stems to expand accessible platforms.
  4. Learn Aura Barrier in the far Dark Space. Detour from above to the launch pad, then jump left toward the Teapot chest.
  5. Return to Euro and use the Teapot before Neil's mother. Finish Neil's conversation and proceed to the native village.
  6. Inspect the hut's pot where 3 girls are stone. Learn Angkor Wat's location from the boy and head to the ruins.
  7. Cross outer slopes with Tem's Spin Dash. Change to Freedan in the courtyard and learn Earthquaker in the inner Dark Space.
  8. Before stone enemies swing their arms, jump from a ledge and press A to stop them. If they remain invulnerable while stopped, leave the room and retry.
  9. After entering the main temple, leave east to inspect the glowing ground on the approach for the Dark Crystal Glasses. Select and use them on the overly bright floor, then descend through a hole to floor 1.
  10. Collect main-temple chests and receive the Gorgon Flower on the top floor. Use it on the village's 3 stone girls and receive a jewel from the freed central girl.

  2. Receive Laura's Letter and Father's Notebook near the inn. The notebook provides the tablet-order clue.
  3. Obtain Shadow transformation and the Aura Ball in the Pyramid's Dark Space. As Shadow, select the ball and press B to pass through floors.
  4. Descend below the central stairs and explore rooms 1–6 from the left. Rooms 1 and 4 use Tem's spinning technique; 2 uses Shadow's floor-melting.
  5. In room 3, collect the jewel as Tem and the tablet as Freedan or Shadow. Room 5's jewel requires Shadow. Return to the entrance to change form.
  6. For tablet 2, pass through the floor before the sphinx painting. In 6, proceed beyond the stairs where a mummy stood.
  7. Also pass through the floor before the right surface exit. Inspect the hidden room's left pillar for the entrance sector's jewel.
  8. Use the 6 tablets in the room above the central stairs. When instructed, select the melody and play the flute, then insert tablets in notebook order.

Section 8: Tower of Babel to the final battle

  1. Inspect the altar where the flute was discovered for the last Red Jewel. Look between the golden Freedan statues on the left and right.
  2. At the blue barrier, select the Crystal Ring emerging from the flute. Repeated attacks in front of it are unnecessary.
  3. Heal and save in Dark Space, then rematch Lava Body, High Wind, the 2 vampires, Sand Fanger, and Pharos in that order.
  4. Some fights cannot rely on Freedan's earthquakes as in the Pyramid. Avoid dangerous attacks with Shadow's Aura and return only when it is safe to attack.
  5. The Dark Space after these battles offers a return to Dao. With 50 jewels collected, heal and decide whether to challenge Gem's Mansion.
  6. Receive the last Mystery Doll and advance the final events. Shadow can launch Firebirds with A attacks in the final battle.
  7. In Dark Gaia's first form, target its open mouth with birds. Leave the light projectiles' paths after each attack opportunity.
  8. Attack upward before the next form's large beam. Block yellow light projectiles with L/R and use the Aura Ball against the beam.
  9. Select herbs with X and use with B. Reselect recovery/Aura for dangerous attacks, defeat the boss, and proceed to the ending.
