Match your location to what you can learn there

Each area follows entrance landmarks and required knowledge, then staged hints, then solutions. Specific observation targets and actions remain hidden until you open the solution. This helps with major obstacles rather than listing every panel's line sequence.

Hint 2 (spoilers)

Hint — revealClose

Outside the starting area: staged hints

After leaving, you do not need to tackle every visible building in order of difficulty. Start with nearby small panel sequences.

  1. Hint 1: choose a sequence with few new symbols
  2. Hint 2: compare how a successful line handles marks and what lies on either side

Answer 3 (spoilers)

Answer — reveal (spoilers)Close

Outside the starting area: open solution

The blue and green introductory panels teach you to collect dots and separate squares of different colors.

  1. In the dot sequence, pass through every black dot between start and end
  2. In the square sequence, do not mix squares of different colors in a region bounded by the line and outer border
  3. After each success, compare the next layout. Before rushing to a difficult door, check whether you can express the rule in one sentence

Hint 4 (spoilers)

Hint — revealClose

Workshop and rocky shore: staged hints

Enter through the seaside workshop. Cables continue from it toward the rocks. Learn basic dots and observe both lines moving together.

  1. Hint 1: watch the side you are not directly controlling to find what stops you
  2. Hint 2: the same line shape can have different conditions depending on its starting circle
  3. Hint 3: on the high ground, relate opposing panels to the surrounding arrangement too

Answer 5 (spoilers)

Answer — reveal (spoilers)Close

Workshop and rocky shore: open solution

The workshop teaches linked movement; the rocky shore introduces colored dots and less visible lines.

  1. Choose starts that let both lines collect their required dots: blue for blue dots, yellow for yellow dots
  2. When one line fades, track its mirrored position from the visible line and check for missed dots
  3. The transparent panels below the rocks form a separate observation task. Compare the background and reflections on the water, including viewpoints away from directly in front
  4. On the high ground, match starting points and endpoints to the opposing panel and solve again. Do not assume the final pair is only a simple left-right reflection

Solving every optional transparent panel is not the same requirement as activating the upper device.

Hint 6 (spoilers)

Hint — revealClose

Orchard: staged hints

Find the slope lined with pink trees. Comparing nearby objects with the panel matters more here than extensive symbol knowledge.

  1. Hint 1: look for something with a similar number and shape of branches
  2. Hint 2: you may need to stand on different sides for the first tree and later trees
  3. Hint 3: at the end, compare missing parts as well as what remains

Answer 7 (spoilers)

Answer — reveal (spoilers)Close

Orchard: open solution

Match the tree's branches to the panel's branching routes, ending at the marked branch tip.

  1. Treat the trunk as the start and follow branches to the fruit
  2. If the branches look twisted, trace their connections from the trunk rather than relying only on screen-left and screen-right
  3. Where the cable continues behind a tree, compare the view from behind too
  4. At the final tree, find the mismatch between a missing real branch and the branch remaining on the panel, then use that endpoint

The orchard has no area laser. You do not need to keep searching for a laser device after finishing its sequence.

Hint 8 (spoilers)

Hint — revealClose

Desert Ruin: staged hints

Begin outdoors, then enter underground from behind the ruins. Rather than staying in front of an unresponsive panel, check viewpoints and nearby controls.

  1. Hint 1: find an angle that changes the surface's appearance
  2. Hint 2: look for controls that move the panel itself
  3. Hint 3: identify the condition you can change in each underground room

Answer 9 (spoilers)

Answer — reveal (spoilers)Close

Desert Ruin: open solution

Match lines revealed by reflections to paths on the grid.

  1. Outside, move to catch reflected sunlight. Use the rear control panel to reposition panels that slide sideways, combining the visible parts
  2. After moving a rotating panel, climb the high platform opposite and look for the angle that reveals its line
  3. In the first underground room, switch the lights to reveal sections that one light alone cannot show
  4. In the water room, examine the reflection, match its start and endpoint, and translate it back to the grid
  5. Use water-level controls to raise or lower the surface. Check input from behind panels whose fronts are obstructed
  6. After returning above ground by the underground lift, check the town-side reflector if the beam does not reach the mountain

Water reflections invert vertically, while entering from behind also changes the horizontal relationship. Do not automatically draw a remembered line in the same orientation.

Hint 10 (spoilers)

Hint — revealClose

Shady Trees: staged hints

Find the woods between the quarry and keep. The cable branches after the introduction. Do not assume the condition from the first successful sequence applies to every branch.

  1. Hint 1: identify what casts the shadow
  2. Hint 2: when a visible line breaks off, look outside the panel
  3. Hint 3: compare what you avoid and what you follow on the different branches

Answer 11 (spoilers)

Answer — reveal (spoilers)Close

Shady Trees: open solution

In the early sequence, avoid branch shadows; another sequence asks you to follow them.

  1. Do not treat your own shadow or shadows of artificial objects as the same obstacle as branch shadows
  2. If the timed entrance door blocks the view, reopen it and solve while the relevant view is visible
  3. For obscured panels, look for shadows or light continuing onto nearby metal, tree trunks, or rocks to reconstruct missing sections
  4. Follow both cable branches, then return to the final device

If darkness makes shadow boundaries unclear, check display settings and your position rather than guessing.

Hint 12 (spoilers)

Hint — revealClose

Keep: staged hints

Distinguish the hedge mazes from the separate courtyard with floor mechanisms. Learn one system first rather than assuming you must finish both in one continuous sequence.

  1. Hint 1: another location represents the path you walked
  2. Hint 2: visible ease of passage is not the only clue
  3. Hint 3: if the panel and physical paths differ, do not trust only one

Answer 13 (spoilers)

Answer — reveal (spoilers)Close

Keep: open solution

On the hedge side, copy your walked route onto a panel. On the floor side, walk to satisfy the panel's conditions.

  1. For the first hedge maze, remember your route and enter it on the panel at the exit
  2. For the second, inspect worn paths; for the third, investigate paths without loud footsteps
  3. For the fourth, choose a route passable both in the physical maze and on the panel
  4. At the tower top, apply the routes learned in each maze to the corresponding sections. Open the shortcut beneath the tower too
  5. In the floor courtyard, examine the side panel first, then walk from the round starting position. Clear failed footprints with the side reset control before retrying

A panel you cannot draw on is not necessarily broken. In the floor courtyard, your footsteps provide the input.

Hint 14 (spoilers)

Hint — revealClose

Marsh: staged hints

Look for differently colored pools and wooden walkways. The opening sequence teaches block shapes, progressing from simple shapes to combinations, rotations, and subtraction.

  1. Hint 1: a symbol's cell does not anchor the placement of its shape
  2. Hint 2: if the shapes cannot be enclosed separately, consider combining them
  3. Hint 3: watch where a moving platform takes you as well as whether the solution is valid

Answer 15 (spoilers)

Answer — reveal (spoilers)Close

Marsh: open solution

Check whether the shapes can tile the region containing their symbols.

  1. Count the yellow shapes' cells and choose which shapes share a region. After matching the area, verify that the actual shapes fit
  2. In sequences with slanted symbols, allow rotation while keeping it distinct from reflection
  3. Operate the rotating bridge to reach the next colored walkway, then follow cables into the drained room
  4. When hollow blue shapes appear, consider subtracting part of the yellow arrangement. See the basic examples on the rules page
  5. Before operating a moving floor, confirm that you are standing on its central movable section
  6. If you send a platform away, look for controls visible from the other shore or an underground panel operating the same bridge

Opened side gates provide shortcuts. Do not mistake another valid transport solution for lost progression.

Hint 16 (spoilers)

Hint — revealClose

Quarry: staged hints

If unfamiliar shapes stop you at the front gate, revisit the marsh introduction. Also check the route through nearby Shady Trees.

  1. Hint 1: compare failure conditions with and without the new three-pronged symbol
  2. Hint 2: inspect the groups on either side of the line rather than extending it directly toward the symbol to remove
  3. Hint 3: examine the workshop across the water as well as the first building

Answer 17 (spoilers)

Answer — reveal (spoilers)Close

Quarry: open solution

This area uses three-pronged cancellation and cables linking different buildings.

  1. Put the cancellation symbol in the same region as a symbol whose removal makes the other conditions valid
  2. In an example that skips one dot, do not leave two or more dots uncollected
  3. After finishing one workshop, find the cable or path leading to the opposite building
  4. If combined stars and block shapes stop you, review their rules in the treehouses and marsh before returning
  5. Use the boat-shaped panel beyond the water to call the boat. On its map, draw a line from your current position to the desired dock

Cancellation does not require adjacency. Before changing workshop lifts or ramps, check the controls on the side you can return to.

Hint 18 (spoilers)

Hint — revealClose

Treehouses: staged hints

Initially, reach the dock by boat. Stars are introduced at the entrance; reviewing dots, squares, and block shapes helps with later combinations.

  1. Hint 1: count all symbols of the same color, not only stars
  2. Hint 2: at a branching bridge, see what changes when you choose another endpoint
  3. Hint 3: if you cannot reach the final door, connect your walking route first

Answer 19 (spoilers)

Answer — reveal (spoilers)Close

Treehouses: open solution

Change bridge directions to connect platforms while meeting the stars' exactly-two same-color condition.

  1. With a single star, consider pairing it with a square or another symbol of the same color
  2. For a bridge with multiple directions, draw to another panel endpoint to change its destination
  3. Before opening the timed door farther in, walk the route and confirm the bridges connect continuously to the intended hut
  4. Once the door is open, run across the prepared platforms into the hut
  5. Lower the exit drawbridge so you can return from land next time

On the boat map, connect the line all the way to the endpoint inside the destination inlet. Following the island's outer coastline alone does not select that dock.

Hint 20 (spoilers)

Hint — revealClose

Bunker: staged hints

Approach the greenhouse entrance from the coastal slope. Early puzzles practice colored squares, but later the changing appearance of the same grid matters.

  1. Hint 1: look at colored elements beyond the grid
  2. Hint 2: compare a previously seen color under different conditions
  3. Hint 3: observe states beyond the floor where you stopped

Answer 21 (spoilers)

Answer — reveal (spoilers)Close

Bunker: open solution

Examine colors through glass and under lighting to determine which groups should be treated as matching.

  1. In the first glass sequence, compare the view through yellow, then blue, then both together
  2. Record symbol positions before returning to the input point. Do not struggle to keep drawing from directly in front of the glass
  3. Use the upper-floor switch to admit daylight. For the next puzzle, also compare the state with colored indoor lighting restored
  4. On the lift, compare the grid's colors under each floor's lighting
  5. At the floor with a broken cable, infer the groups using the green light above and the filters you learned earlier

Numbering symbol positions can help compare colors that are difficult to distinguish. Move to another area if color identification becomes burdensome.

Hint 22 (spoilers)

Hint — revealClose

Jungle: staged hints

Enter from the bunker-side dock or monastery-side path. Steps and vegetation can hide the next panel, so follow cables upward and downward too.

  1. Hint 1: listen for sounds repeating near the panel
  2. Hint 2: compare whether duration, loudness, or pitch corresponds to the grid
  3. Hint 3: do not assume every surrounding sound belongs in one sequence

Answer 23 (spoilers)

Answer — reveal (spoilers)Close

Jungle: open solution

Match sound pitches to the line's height or the hexagons' sizes.

  1. In the opening sound sequence, follow relative high, medium, and low pitches, distinguishing these from loudness and duration
  2. The first puzzle's sound moves from high to low, so move the line from a higher route to a lower one
  3. Later puzzles mix in other calls and noises. Find the sound sequence matching the grid's required count
  4. If an upper switch raises a panel to block your path, walk around the outer route to enter from the other side
  5. For different-sized dots, small means high pitch, medium means middle pitch, and large means low pitch. Visit them in the heard order

This guide does not publish unchecked sound sequences for every puzzle. If hearing a pattern is difficult, you need not keep repeating that one spot indefinitely.

Hint 24 (spoilers)

Hint — revealClose

Monastery: staged hints

If the front gate is closed, walk around the outer wall to find another entrance. Inside, observe the relationship between the central tree-like device and panels outside.

  1. Hint 1: compare what becomes visible when part of the wall moves
  2. Hint 2: align nearby and distant shapes along the same sightline
  3. Hint 3: when only one section is missing, check the ground too

Answer 25 (spoilers)

Answer — reveal (spoilers)Close

Monastery: open solution

Align wooden cutouts and branches with the panel to read its visible route.

  1. Use the central device to open the wall on the side facing the outdoor panel
  2. From inside, align the cutout with the panel outside. If a puzzle is not visible that way, inspect the shape from outside and relate it to the grid
  3. In the indoor branch sequence, the condition changes from avoiding branches to following them
  4. For the final missing section, find a fallen branch. Match its thick end and break point to reconstruct the original connection
  5. Follow the cable behind the building and check the device you can activate

You do not pick up and carry branches. Reconnect the observed shapes mentally or in your notes.

Hint 26 (spoilers)

Town: staged hints

The town is useful for reviewing rules learned in other areas. Rather than forcing every building into one order, inspect open entrances and rooftops when a building is inaccessible.

  1. Hint 1: recall where on the island you saw a similar-looking puzzle
  2. Hint 2: when several cables leave one panel, check whether solving it once is enough
  3. Hint 3: look for differences when viewing from neighboring buildings or rooftops

Answer 27 (spoilers)

Answer — reveal (spoilers)Close

Town: open solution

Solve the systems leading toward the tower, combining several observations.

  1. For combinations of block shapes, cancellation, symmetry, and other symbols, check each rule separately
  2. For the panel with three outgoing cables, inspect distinct routes shown by branches through a window, a reflection from above, and a shadow on the grid
  3. For the final rooftop-side puzzle, combine reflections and shadows visible from other buildings
  4. Use the control panel to turn the rooftop mirror receiving the desert beam toward the mountain
  5. When the tower opens, climb it and activate the device. Optional diversions, including extra underground panels, remain beyond the tower requirements

Even when transferring a valid line to another panel, check that panel's colors and arrangement separately.

Before reading farther

The following sections cover additional observations and endgame progression. If you are still freely exploring, you can stop at the section for your current area.

  1. Additional observations: includes a major discovery beyond ordinary panels
  2. Endgame entrance: includes specific counts and device operations
  3. Inside the endgame: includes solutions for large mechanisms
  4. Additional route: includes later exploration locations and requirements

Headings do not reveal the discovery or ending. Specific explanations stay inside closed solution sections.

Hint 29 (spoilers)

Hint — revealClose

Additional observations: staged hints

If a shape in the scenery catches your attention, look for similarities to familiar controls without assuming every shape is meaningful.

  1. Hint 1: recall the shape you first touch on an ordinary panel
  2. Hint 2: move sideways and compare how foreground and background shapes connect
  3. Hint 3: where the shape appears continuous, try ordinary panel interaction

Answer 30 (spoilers)

Answer — reveal (spoilers)Close

Additional observations: open solution

Some scenery forms a continuous line beginning at a round starting point. These are environmental puzzles, a separate kind of exploration from ordinary flat panels.

  1. For example, compare the yellow panel on the mountain summit with the river shape beyond it
  2. Stand where the river appears connected to a round beginning, enter interaction mode, and trace the line in the scenery
  3. Elsewhere, combine perspective, reflections, moving structures, or views from the boat
  4. Nearby black obelisks record environmental puzzles in their surroundings. Compare the depicted shapes with those not yet illuminated
  5. You do not need to solve every environmental puzzle before proceeding to the normal ending

This guide does not cover every location, completion of every obelisk, or the route to a hidden alternative ending.

Hint 31 (spoilers)

Hint — revealClose

Endgame entrance: staged hints

Reaching the summit and opening the entrance inside are separate tasks. Compare the surrounding devices with your progress around the island.

  1. Hint 1: see where each area's final activated device points
  2. Hint 2: check how far the box on the summit has opened
  3. Hint 3: drawing one line on the entrance floor may not finish the whole task

Answer 32 (spoilers)

Answer — reveal (spoilers)Close

Endgame entrance: open solution

Activating seven lasers directed at the mountain lets you open the summit entrance. All eleven are not required for the normal endgame entrance.

  1. Operate the summit box's panel to reveal the floor puzzle
  2. The floor's three starting points each have a corresponding endpoint. Enter three routes while separating black and white squares
  3. Change position if statues or cables obscure the line. Check squares hidden by the statues' feet too
  4. Descend the stairs once the entrance opens. If the desert laser misses the mountain, redirect it using the town rooftop mirror and check again

Do not substitute a line from this guide's generic examples into the opened floor puzzle. Account for the actual symbols and obstructions.

Hint 33 (spoilers)

Hint — revealClose

Inside the endgame: staged hints

Some sections link several panels with lines used for movement. Consider where you need to stand next as well as whether one grid is valid.

  1. Hint 1: a path created for movement can be reshaped after you use it
  2. Hint 2: similar panel sequences add new conditions to the earlier line
  3. Hint 3: choices in small puzzles can remain as conditions in a larger puzzle

Answer 34 (spoilers)

Answer — reveal (spoilers)Close

Inside the endgame: open solution

The main systems include bridges you can cross and return over, sequences sharing a line, and combinations of small and large puzzles.

  1. Use the first platform to reach panels on both sides. After finishing the left, right, and central puzzles, redraw it to reach the exit
  2. In the room with blue and yellow bridges, first draw a route to the control panel across the gap. Create a second bridge for the return trip before rebuilding the first
  3. The bridges must connect to endpoints on both panels, not simply permit a return crossing. Finally, adjust one to reach the actual exit
  4. In a sequence sharing one line, add new dot, square, star, and shape conditions while retaining the previous conditions on every panel
  5. In the small panels before the large floor, uncancelled block shapes also become conditions for the large floor. Choose shapes that can tile the whole arrangement rather than settling the small puzzles arbitrarily first
  6. The two timed-display panels change layout each attempt, so a fixed solution image will not work. Confirm one has been solved, then tackle the other
  7. For pillar panels, understand the full structure around the back. Check how lines connect with the left and right edges of a flat representation joined

This is not a list of directional inputs for every fixed panel. It explains room-wide mechanisms and the important points when retrying.

Endgame stopping point: checks before activation

Closing and activating the final glass vehicle leads to the normal ending. If you want to continue exploring, check save timestamps and thumbnails in the menu before that operation.

  1. If the island appears changed after the ending, do not immediately conclude your previous progress is permanently lost
  2. On the load screen, choose a save near the final vehicle
  3. If you resume inside the vehicle, reverse the door operation, step out, and return to unexplored areas

This guide does not describe or interpret the ending footage. Your chosen save determines the restart point, so check its timestamp and image.

Additional route: staged hints

Reaching the normal stopping point does not mean you have explored the whole island. Read this only if you want further exploration.

  1. Hint 1: find area devices you have not yet activated
  2. Hint 2: inspect the summit box from below as well as above
  3. Hint 3: check whether previously dark small panels now have power

Additional route: open solution

Activate all eleven lasers and enter the line continuing beneath the summit box to access an additional entrance on the mountain's lower level.

  1. Descend the first stairs slightly from the summit and look up at the bottom of the box
  2. Extend the ordinary box line to the additional endpoint revealed underneath
  3. Solve the triangle panel on the lower level near the door toward the normal final room
  4. Enter the newly opened passage in the rock wall nearby and open the door beyond
  5. Open the cave's exit door and lift to the outside, reducing the need to traverse the mountain interior from the summit on every return
  6. Solve the pillar panel farther in, then the next door's puzzle to reach the additional challenge

Seeing the normal ending first is not itself an access key. The required conditions concern devices and panels.

Additional challenge: open preparation and approach

Operating the gramophone starts a timed challenge with music. Its generated layouts mean you cannot finish by directly copying someone else's solution lines.

  1. Before starting, inspect the room's paths, stairs, and panel locations
  2. Remember the opening tabletop maze's route and two dots. These correspond to the later physical maze's path and panel locations
  3. Upper and lower panels activate in varying orders; look for the next illuminated grid
  4. In groups of three side-by-side puzzles, choose the solvable one rather than trying to solve all three
  5. In the physical maze, solve panels at the remembered dot locations, then proceed to the final two pillar panels
  6. After a failure, restart at the gramophone. You can also revisit introductory island puzzles to review unfamiliar symbols

Sources describe a limit of about six and a half minutes, but this guide does not assert an unmeasured exact duration. Do not assume pausing stops the timer or apply PS4 suspend tricks to the PC instructions.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a fixed area order?

No. Visiting introductions for unfamiliar symbols first makes learning easier. Check the individual boat or gate requirements for areas that need them.

I activated a laser, but nearby panels remain unsolved

Activating an area's device and finishing every panel or optional exploration are different goals. Follow cable connections to decide which puzzles your current objective requires.

The solution line does not match my current panel

This page does not list every panel's line sequence. Distinguish original rule examples, observation steps for fixed panels, and puzzles with changing layouts, then apply the actual grid's conditions.
