What is R.E.P.O.?
Check a standard-version first shift through valuable condition, cart, and extraction count. Three guides cover hauling controls, quota and exit, and using shop purchases.

Read using standard-version shifts as the baseline
R.E.P.O. is a co-op horror game about physics-based valuable transport, completing required extractions, and returning. Progress depends on intact value delivered and remaining extraction points, not just what you picked up.

| Check | Current baseline | If yours differs |
|---|---|---|
| Release state | Early Access standard v0.4.4 | Do not treat 1.0 or next-level announcements as implemented guides |
| Players | Solo or up to six total | Account for the number grabbing heavy items and individual upgrades |
| Starting conditions | Normal new shift, no mods | Existing-save upgrades and later Moon conditions change handling |
| Control language | Default PC keys; official store displayed in English | Prioritize changed bindings and in-game use prompts |

Amounts below are in-game currency, not real payments. Current purchase costs vary with players and progress, so use the displayed quote rather than old fixed price tables.
Choose the first check by problem
First distinguish cargo, extraction, and personal-state problems. Preserve a safe return route before following the relevant guide.
Wide tables scroll horizontally.
| Problem | Current state | First check | Guide to read |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cannot lift an object | Dragging it across the floor | Weight, grab position, extra hands, passage width | Beginner: grab and carry |
| Value keeps decreasing | Collisions at corners or entrances | Object orientation and distance from you | Beginner: avoid transport damage |
| Cart total is sufficient but extraction fails | Outside the platform or point not activated | Actual value inside, point activation, current extraction | Shifts: target value and extraction |
| Truck will not leave | One extraction finished | Displayed remaining extractions and teammate return | Shifts: exit checks |
| Bought an upgrade but not stronger | Only paid at the shop | Boxes in the next truck and their users | Tools: using purchases |
| Weapon or tool stops | Taken out but not operating | Actually holding it, remaining charge, E prompt | Tools: charging and requirements |
| The same hiding method fails | Different enemy encountered | Is sound or sight the problem? | Beginner: enemy-specific exceptions |

“Beginner,” “shifts,” and “tools” refer to related articles at the end. Physics hauling and extraction completion, and shop purchase and use, require separate checks.
Four displays to check on the first shift
Before collecting far away, learn to move one item near the exit without damage. The tutorial is also useful for confirming basic controls.
- Outside the truck, locate the cart, first extraction point, and return door. The current version disables the map inside the truck, so use Tab outside.
- Hold a nearby small valuable with left-click and carry it to the cart, adjusting orientation/distance with right-click and the wheel.
- Put the whole load inside the extraction platform and move off once the warning begins. Check remaining extractions afterward.

| Display/landmark | What to read | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| HP/stamina | Escape capacity and damage taken | Stop sprinting somewhere safe and crouch to recover stamina. HP needs a separate recovery method. |
| Held item's value | Current value of the carried object | Compare before/after carrying and after collisions |
| C.A.R.T. screen | Total loaded value | Check against the target and move cargo onto the platform |
| Target value/remaining extractions | Is the entire shift finished? | Do not leave after one point; check the remaining count |

Value when found can differ from final extracted value. Do not consider the job complete from the cart total alone.
Do not all react identically to every enemy
Checking the situation without adding noise and prioritizing survival over cargo are useful basics. However, “run immediately” or “under furniture is safe” cannot apply to every enemy.
Wide tables scroll horizontally.
| Confirmed example | Avoid | First behavior to change |
|---|---|---|
| Huntsman / armed opponent | Assuming noise is safe after breaking sight | It reacts to sound; reach cover without adding footsteps/collisions |
| Robe / long-robed opponent | Turning back and staring at its face | Move without looking directly at it; leave where it saw you |
| Unidentified enemy | Approaching to test it while dragging heavy cargo | Put the item down safely; check retreat and cover first |

This is not a countermeasure table for every enemy. Sprinting and object noise matter as well as voice. Silence alone does not make you safe from every monster.
Decide who uses what before buying
Upgrades may use the team's wallet, but effects such as Health and Stamina generally apply to the individual who uses them. One upgrade does not simultaneously address a hauler's Strength and an injured player's healing.
Wide tables scroll horizontally.
| Problem | Purchase candidate | Check after purchase |
|---|---|---|
| Run out of breath quickly | Stamina upgrades | Intended player holds the box in the truck and uses E |
| HP reduced | Health Pack | Distinguish maximum-HP upgrades from one-time healing |
| Cannot move heavy objects | Strength or hauling aid | Was it applied to the hauler? Could current tools/cart suffice instead? |
| Tool has no power | Charger/required Energy Crystal | Check tool charge separately from truck charging resources |

v0.4.0 added shop visuals and features. Instead of searching old shelf positions, check names, prices, purchase platform, and truck loading.
