R.E.P.O. shift guide: target value, extraction, exit, and shop order
Check extraction-point activation, value counted inside, surplus money bags, and remaining points in sequence. Covers common stoppages from shift completion and shopping to using purchases in the next truck.
Edition: PC Steam app 3241660, standard release, no mods. Normal new shifts, solo or co-op for up to six. Baseline early-game state; later Moon conditions and existing upgrades addressed separately where relevant.
Verification scope: Early Access standard v0.4.4, dated May 25, 2026, checked officially on October 4, 2026. v0.4.0 Cosmetic Update is implemented. June 5 discussion of the next level/1.0 is treated as plans; excludes beta, mods, and unreleased ports. Not gameplay-tested.

Requirements from starting work through shopping
Cart total reaching the target, extraction succeeding, and being able to leave are different. On multi-extraction shifts, check the remaining count after finishing each point.
Wide tables scroll horizontally.
| Stage | Required amount/state | Action | Completion/exit check | Exception |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shift begins | Target and remaining extractions displayed | Leave truck and check route with Tab | Locate cart, first extraction platform, and return door | Map disabled inside truck |
| Collect | Use current value after damage | Cart for small items; cooperate on large ones | Enough value ready to transport to platform | Do not fix value at the discovery amount |
| Activate extraction point | Previous point complete | If inactive, left-click its red activation button | Platform target/current value becomes active | Cannot activate simultaneously while another point is processing |
| Load platform | At least this point's required amount | Fit the entire object inside the boundary | Value reached and countdown starts | Protruding items trigger warnings |
| Extracting | Players outside the danger area | Move off the platform and wait for completion | Point completes and remaining count changes | Remaining inside risks being crushed |
| Further points | Extractions remain | Collect surplus bag and go to next point | Compare next requirement and current value | Bag must also be physically carried |
| Leave | All required extractions complete | Survivors return to truck and operate envelope button | Departure/shift completion proceeds | Enemies remain dangerous after final extraction |
| Service Station | Shared funds and total desired purchases | Place products on purchase platform and confirm with red purchase button | Items purchased and sent to the next truck | Simply taking items out does not buy/apply them |

Red buttons activate extraction points or confirm shop purchases; the truck screen's envelope exits. Once the workplace platform has enough value, extraction progresses automatically. Do not remain on it searching for an extra “start extraction” key.
Separate target, cart, platform, and shopping funds
They may all look like money displays, but count value in different locations. Do not count cargo outside the platform as already delivered cash.
Wide tables scroll horizontally.
| Display/object | Meaning | Check when short | Next action |
|---|---|---|---|
| HUD target | Required amount for this extraction | Are you using a remembered figure from a previous level? | Follow the current screen |
| C.A.R.T. total | Value loaded in the cart | Damage, missed cargo, or still outside platform? | Check current value and haul |
| Platform current value | Cargo counted by that platform | Partly inserted large object or cargo at another point | Reposition everything fully inside the boundary |
| Surplus Valuable / money bag | Physical object returning excess from an intermediate point | Left behind or damaged during transport | Carry to the next platform |
| Shop funds | Money available for purchases | Confused with undelivered value on a platform? | Decide from current balance and purchase total |

Separate settlement after the final extraction from hauling intermediate change bags. Do not fix old guides' rounding or multipliers into a formula; check final shopping funds at the shop.
Simple example of rereading the required value
Amounts below are hypothetical explanations, not initial quotas or fixed drops. Substitute the actual shift's displayed amounts.
Wide tables scroll horizontally.
| Hypothetical situation | Calculation | Action | Check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Platform target 10,000; inside value 8,400 | 10,000 − 8,400 = 1,600 short | Add at least 1,600 intact value to the platform | Platform current value increases, not merely cart total |
| Collision reduces a 1,900 item to 1,400 | 8,400+1,400=9,800 | Still need 200. Do not assume discovery value suffices. | Recalculate shortfall from current value |
| Intermediate platform receives 12,000 against 10,000 | Surplus is 2,000 | Check returned money bag's display and carry to next point | Confirm the next platform actually counts it |

Repeatedly carrying the surplus bag does not create new profit each time. Do not double-count this hypothetical example in your final shopping budget.
Plan placement before entering the platform
Processing starts when the target is reached. Do not expect time to rotate large cargo after adding the final item; decide loading order first.
- Check which point is active. Even if cargo was left elsewhere, gather the required amount at the point currently able to process it.
- Plan the large item's angle and cart position first, fitting every edge inside. The cart body fitting does not make protruding cargo safe.
- For co-op head-extraction revival, bring the teammate's head in early enough to complete processing. Do not start searching after filling and closing the platform.
- When countdown and dangerous-item warnings begin, move off. Do not stay inside in the excitement of meeting the target.
- After completion, check remaining extraction count and surplus bag. Go to the next point if any remain; otherwise switch to returning.
Warnings during processing help identify protruding objects. Prioritize fitting cargo before loading instead of jumping onto a dangerous platform to fix it.
From exit to using purchases
Check remaining extractions, teammates, and return route before departure. Even after shopping, upgrades may not apply until their boxes are used.
- Confirm all extractions complete on-screen. If you return with points remaining, use the display to identify unfinished ones.
- Survivors return while watching for enemies. Hold left-click on the truck screen's envelope button and confirm departure proceeds.
- At the shop, bring products to the platform and check their current total fits shared funds. Confirm with the red purchase button and wait for processing.
- Find purchases in the next truck. The intended user grabs Health/Stamina boxes with left-click and uses them with E.
- Check maximum HP, maximum stamina, consumed boxes, and tool charge before exploring again.
Shop stock is not fixed. If the desired item is absent, assess shortages before buying upgrades aimlessly. Upgrade Reroller, added in v0.4.0, also costs money on top of product prices.
Check conditions for return healing and saving
Do not directly apply old truck-healing values or claims that saves occur only in the shop to the current standard version. Normal new shifts and later Moon conditions also differ.
Wide tables scroll horizontally.
| Mechanic | Current check | Control precaution |
|---|---|---|
| Truck Healer | Activates only after final extraction fully finishes | Do not assume merely returning always activates it |
| Healing amount | Initial baseline 50 HP, reduced on Moon | Check actual recovered HP rather than assuming fixed 25 or always 50 |
| Quitting in the truck | v0.4.0 added saves when quitting inside the truck | Return to main menu/quit and check the location after resuming |
| Rescuing dead players | Requires conditions such as delivering the head to successful extraction | Do not assume guaranteed recovery after everyone dies |

This does not guarantee unconditional recovery from disconnects, crashes, or wipes. When leaving midway, align the current shift/save point with the host before normal quitting.
Checklist when progress stops
Separate insufficient value, another point still processing, and unmet departure conditions.
Wide tables scroll horizontally.
| Blocking symptom | Target/point/loadout check | Where to return/action | Version difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Next extractor will not open | Did the previous point finish? | Finish the currently active platform, then press the red button | Do not process several points simultaneously |
| Enough value but no processing | Confusing cart value with platform value? | Move everything inside the active platform | Do not use initial values/fixed quotas |
| Only large items vanish/lose value | Platform warnings/protrusion beyond boundary | Next time orient before loading and fit inside | Use warning displays added from 0.2 onward |
| One extraction finished but cannot leave | Remaining extraction count | Go to unfinished points; do not check only value | Truck Chat changed to remaining-count guidance in 0.3 |
| Cannot use a box bought in the shop | Purchase confirmed? Still in the shop? | After confirmation, hold it with left-click in the truck and use E | Buying is not using |
| Map does not respond | Inside truck/shop? | Check Tab and settings in the exploration area | Map disabled in truck/shop from 0.4 onward |

Frequently asked questions
Which key starts extraction?
Left-click the red button to activate an inactive point. Once enough value enters an active platform, extraction starts automatically; move off afterward. The next point cannot activate while another remains unfinished.
Is value above the target wasted?
At intermediate points, surplus returns as a money bag usable for the next extraction. You must collect and carry it; distinguish its display from final shop funds.
Cart total and extraction-platform value differ
Check whether the cart is fully inside, cargo protrudes, or damage lowered value. Confirm completion at the active platform.
Healer does not work despite returning
Truck Healer activates only after the final extraction fully completes. Check for unfinished points or processing. Healing amount also varies with Moon.
Can I bring shop items back just by picking them up?
Ordinary purchases require placing them on the platform and confirming payment. Collect bought items in the next truck; upgrade/healing boxes must then be used separately.
