Distinguish why chains stop

| Symptom | What to check |
|---|---|
| Cannot play the first card | Do you have a card matching the requested taste? |
| The second or later card will not connect | The previous dish's Craving and tastes in your hand |
| Have cards but cannot act | Stamina and status |
| Less feeding than expected | Horror preferences and additional effects |
| Unstable after changing dishes | Taste changed by seasoning and its preceding/following links |

Read the whole deck before adding cards
Decide a new dish's role in the current build before adopting it. Even a large feeding amount can be hard to use without a chain leading into it. Too many cards of one taste can stall you when another is required. Especially early on with little opponent information, consider a build that does not rely on a single fixed matchup.
Check settings against the previous run
Campaign/Banquet, Vanilla/Spicy and Culinary/Gourmet settings change your assumptions. If something worked last time but not now, check enabled rules first. Updates have also adjusted dish abilities. If the guide and game display differ, reread the current display instead of continuing on the basis of old table values.
Short notes after each encounter
- Record the opponent's name and difficult Craving.
- Distinguish the card where the chain stopped, missing taste and insufficient stamina.
- Consider whether the next cooking or seasoning can address it.
- Distinguish likes/dislikes you actually checked from those still unknown.
Do not mix total counts with coverage counts
The official full-release description lists 34 Horrors, 62 dishes and eight biomes. This does not mean the site has confirmed every action, effect and location. The practice of mixing nine speculative Horrors and 25 speculative dishes into confirmed data has been removed. Avoid filling unverified gaps with invented values or names.
Frequently asked questions
Is the strongest deck fixed at ten cards?
No comparison supports that claim. Adjust around chains, stamina, flavour imbalance and mode conditions.
Is full release still planned for late 2026?
No. The old schedule has been corrected. Full release 1.0 launched October 13, 2026.
