Hungry Horrors biomes: new 1.0 regions and progression checks
Distinguishes the full release's eight biomes from the old five-region coverage. Organizes Megaliths, Seashore and mode-specific progression.
Scope: Steam full release 1.0: checked October 16, 2026
Checked scope: Not a complete map of room order, unlock conditions and NPC requests in every full-release region. The old fixed ten-room-per-region table was removed because its basis could not be confirmed.

The guide no longer ends with five regions
Hungry Horrors 1.0 launched October 13, 2026; the official description lists eight biomes. The old description calling just five regions the entire game has been corrected. Version 1.0 opens Megaliths' doors and the story's finale. Do not infer from old Early Access articles that the game still cannot be finished.

Checks before entering the next region
- Check Campaign or Banquet. Do not mix progression assumptions even for the same place name.
- Read your current objective and conditions displayed on doors or NPCs.
- Check flavour chains and missing roles to handle new Horrors.
- If you change dishes, seasonings or Cookware, review deck connections before departing.
- Record locked-door conditions instead of trying the old article's estimated run count.
Separate NPC, collection and encounter progression
Treat clearing a region, completing NPC requests and unlocking dishes/tools as separate records. Advancing alone does not mean the region's collection is complete. Check newly available functions as well as dishes, since fishing and familiars also feature. Specific request orders and required items have not all been checked; unknown locations are not filled by guesses.
Set different goals in Campaign and Banquet
Scroll horizontally to read wide tables.
| Mode | Setting goals | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Campaign | Advance the story and growth that carries over | Distinguish retained unlocks from resources lost after failure |
| Banquet | Complete a build within that run | Do not assume Campaign's permanent growth applies directly |

Full regional details remain outstanding
The table selectively lists regions with confirmed names or additions. No unconfirmed eighth name has been invented merely to match the official total. Work remains to match all eight regions' entry conditions, Horrors, dishes, NPC requests and specific final actions. Introducing regions differs from completing a location-by-location walkthrough.

Are there five biomes?
The official full-release 1.0 total is eight. The old description treating five introduced regions as the entire map has been corrected.
Does every region have ten rooms?
The old table was removed because evidence for that fixed structure could not be confirmed. Check your mode and actual progression display.
