Gain EVO.P and spend it on body parts

  1. Eat meat after defeating an enemy. EVO.P and HP gains are separate, so do not count foods that only heal as a way to earn evolution points.
  2. Open evolution with SELECT, choose a part, check its cost and confirm. Jaws, bodies, tails and other parts have different roles, so prioritize the attacks or movement currently causing you trouble.
  3. Open the stats screen to check your totals after evolving. Do not directly substitute the part-table values for fixed damage dealt to enemies.
  4. EVO.P resets when the chapter changes. Spend it on the current chapter's boss and healing rather than saving for the next chapter.

Reserve points for healing through evolution

  1. Before entering a boss fight, check an inexpensive part you can switch and its cost. Evolving when your HP is low fully heals you.
  2. Also check same-cost switches and changes of shape so one heal does not use all your EVO.P. Available parts differ by form.
  3. Meat gives different EVO.P and healing depending on the enemy and meat type. Do not enter consecutive battles calculating that all meat restores the same HP.
  4. This is not presented as a guaranteed rescue after HP reaches zero. Retreat to a position where you can open SELECT before the situation becomes dangerous.

Saving progress and Evolution Records are separate

  1. Saving the adventure preserves your progress. Evolution Records preserve your current form; do not assume doing one also takes care of the other.
  2. Evolution Records can hold 50 entries. Record forms gained from red crystals before changing back.
  3. Eating a green crystal lets you reproduce an evolution. Select a recorded form and use it in battle as a time-limited transformation.
