Haiku Corrupt Mode Guide | 16 Relocations and 23 Temporary Health Points
Added main story, full collection tables, additional areas/modes, and lore locations · Updated 2026-10-13
Corrupt is a separate run starting with 1 health. Power Cells and Capsule Fragments are absent, and normal shop/NPC location tables may not lead you to items.
Differences from normal mode
Selectable after completing the normal main game once. Uses temporary health scattered around the world rather than normal health upgrades and wrench healing.
Normal Power Cells and Capsule Fragments are removed in this mode. Atom replaces the final Three Creators battle.
You cannot shop at Sonnet, Echo, or Reaper. Instead of buying the 11 shop chips, find their world placements in the relocation table. Reports describe 100% Corrupt completion without Echo's Electric Key, so the normal shop door is not made mandatory for exploration completion.
Spend parts on saving, the clock, and treatments—not shops
Do not use the normal shops' 22 rows as a Corrupt shopping list. Spare parts fund repair points, Pinion's clock, and heat/water treatments. Banking at perches is also unavailable, so check funds before traveling far.
| Target | Documented spare parts | Scope and cautions |
|---|---|---|
| Opening repair points | 100 | Confirmed in a PC walkthrough record. Displays at every location on all platforms/current versions have not been directly inspected |
| Pinion's clock | Normal table: 1 | Clock repair is confirmed in Corrupt runs too. Its actual Corrupt price has not been directly inspected |
| Heat/water treatments | Normal table: 200 each | Both treatments are confirmed in Corrupt runs. Identical actual prices on every platform remain unconfirmed |
| Merchant items | Cannot purchase | Use the 16 relocated-item locations. Do not add normal shop prices to the budget |
16 relocated items
Use these placements rather than applying normal purchases and rewards unchanged.
| Item | Corrupt location/requirement |
|---|---|
| Map Sweeper | Central Core: below the station's right-hand side, toward Pinion |
| Ferromagnetic | Central Core: above Echo's former shop |

| Sword Extension | Factory: Surveillance Bot's reward |
| Shock Wave | Below the bombable floor above-right of Forgotten station |

23 temporary health locations
You can hold at most 10 at once. Lost health can be collected again at its original location; it is not counted as normal fragments' permanent upgrades. Gameplay reports describe respawning after waiting following damage, not only after death. No fixed respawn time in seconds is asserted.
Late in the run, replenish near stations before returning to battles to shorten travel. Also check spare-parts spending and saving at repair points.

Atom's 3 phases: landing, spreads, and teleportation
Do not substitute the normal Three Creators' coordinated fight for the Corrupt finale. Spreading attacks increase as phases change, so avoid staying at one distance throughout.
| Phase | Recognizable attacks | Positioning and counters |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | High landings, sideways movement from low jumps, arm reach | Leave the high-landing area and keep the sideways movement path clear. Jump over the arms. You can also attack during the next-phase transition animation |
| 2 | Wide flower-shaped spreads from medium height | Stay farther away than for Virus's spreads. Do not chase continuously during movement; hit briefly when it stops, then move away again |
| 3 | Teleporting into falls and spreads; delayed spreading ground attacks | Do not stay below its teleport destination. Counter after observing ground-attack delays and pauses, and clear its landing spot |
Corrupt 100% and uncovered scope
Check movement abilities, this mode's chips/sockets, disruptors, stations, coolants, map, and bosses. Do not add normal mode's 24 Power Cells or 12 fragments to the missing list.
This guide does not claim gameplay verification of placement changes for all 28 normal chips, temporary-health costs on every platform, or every Corrupt cell/hidden operation. Check the 16 explicitly relocated items and 23 health points first; do not infer undocumented differences from normal tables.
