Chapter 1: Prologue
The initial target is Baldo. Defeating the powerful northern knights is not the objective.
- Defeat nearby generic commanders to open a route to Baldo. The protagonist and Hein should attack through troops kept within command range.
- Avoid approaching Leon and Laird recklessly. This chapter does not require training the initial units to defeat them head-on.
- Do not ignore Baldo's southward movement. Stop him first rather than detouring to northern fights.

Chapter 2: Departure
Escort Liana north. To retain access to the Empire, plan not to defeat Laird.
- Advance with Liana's northward movement and assign escorts to enemies appearing ahead. Do not gather everyone in the southern battle.
- After reducing regular enemies in the south, avoid fighting Laird. Also sparing Zorum in Chapter 5 prepares for the Empire's invitation.
- Rohga, appearing in the north, is an NPC at this point. Protect Liana's route without assuming you can command him freely.

Chapter 3: Great Temple of Light
Reduce enemies while defending the temple side. Even if Liana becomes an enemy, do not mistake whom to defeat.
- Divide the approaches rather than massing cavalry against spearmen. Stop enemies reaching the priest or Liana first.
- Once Rohga becomes controllable, develop him alongside allies rather than sending him alone to the front.
- If Liana is controlled, deal with Morgan without attacking her. A protected target changing to enemy colors does not make her a target to defeat.

Chapter 4: Battle for Kalxath Castle
Advance toward Vargas's unit while supporting defending NPCs. Watch for southern reinforcements too.
- Bring archers against flying troops and reduce enemies approaching the castle-defending NPCs.
- When attacking Vargas, weaken him first with magic or mercenaries; keep weak commanders away from positions where a single hit could defeat them.
- Separate southern reinforcements from the castle-side attack. Do not abandon escorts to chase the fleeing Morgan.

Chapter 5: In the Flames
Advancing fire imposes urgency. Victory requires defeating Camilla, not hunting every reinforcement.
- Keep moving ahead of the fire approaching from the north, at a pace that does not leave Jessica behind.
- Even when handling waterside or flying enemies, keep Hein and Liana from exposure at the front.
- Clear without defeating Zorum to preserve the Imperial route. The invitation does not occur in a save where both he and Chapter 2's Laird were defeated.

Chapter 6: Holy Land Reitel
Defeat enemies while pursuing the Dark Rod. After the event, switch the objective to clearing the remaining enemies.
- Consider Liana's Turn Undead where undead troops cluster. Do not assume the same instant-death effect applies to their commander.
- After Egbert takes the rod, defeat the remaining guardians instead of insisting on catching him.
- To visit the secret stage, leave someone to examine the entrance before finishing. Open the separate page for its location.

Chapter 7: The Demon Girl
Fight while protecting villagers. Prepare Rohga's conversation with Sonya separately from the postbattle faction choice.
- Assign Rohga to approach Sonya and avoid concentrating attacks on her before the conversation.
- Do not send the entire army toward graveyard monsters; stop enemies heading for villagers. Check reinforcement movements before covering weak points.
- If Leon's invitation appears after battle, choose your desired faction. Accepting also brings Liana's confirmation, so do not rush through dialogue.
