Added separate evidence, suspicion, puzzle, and finale guides · Updated 2026-10-12
This page reveals the finale and the heart of the case. Use it after checking missables before entering the underground area. Follow chapter names and locations to read only your current stage.
1 | From the underground laboratory to the lowest level
Open answer (contains spoilers)
Examine the insect display, desk research, and safe. Use Golden Beetle for the missing research subject and establish that it was to be bred underground.
- Zoom in on the desk research for the third observation.
- Open the nine-drawer safe and obtain Secret Research.
- Complete the laboratory deduction with Sally, then head to the floor hatch.
2 | Lowest-level plans and aquarium
Open answer (contains spoilers)
Unroll the paper on the shelf, examine Building Plans, and select the unfamiliar Study. Compare the photographed person with the multiple models to identify Lord Remington.
- Examine the children's book, metal rod, and damaged photo.
- Discuss the photo and lake beyond the window with Sally.
- Return to the great hall, pull the illuminated aquarium switch, and climb the ladder.
3 | Connect the missing objects in the study
Open answer (contains spoilers)
Use Photo of Painting and Freya's Drawings for the board's missing evidence. Record the group photo, notes, and burnt items, too.
Match the book diagram to the crab mechanism to find the crossbow. Rather than searching for new missing components, use three pieces of evidence already obtained.
| Crossbow part | Evidence used |
|---|---|
| Top | Small Lens |
| Bottom | Reel Thingy |
| Front | Metal Rod |
4 | Firing, unconsciousness, and protection from sound
Open answer (contains spoilers)
Establish the sequence: the bolt was fired from above Freya, who was already unconscious on her back. The cause of unconsciousness was the Golden Beetle inside the gramophone.
The cracked paints, tape, and gramophone provide evidence of effects on the surroundings. The perpetrator's protection from the sound corresponds to what covers the Lute Statue's ears.
| Purpose of question | Selection / evidence |
|---|---|
| Firing position | Above Freya |
| Why it hit | Unconscious on her back |
| Cause in the room | Golden Beetle inside Gramophone |
| Effects of sound | Freya’s Paints/Cracked Tape/Gramophone |
| Perpetrator's protection | Protected themselves → Lute Statue |
5 | Revisit the crime scene and read the painting
Open answer (contains spoilers)
Re-examine the brush and palette, painting, and window plants in Flora's tower. Match the missing feathers to Burnt Items and Freya's intention to the unfinished painting.
Combine the yellow paint with the unfinished outline to Flora's right, and identify what was at the window using Birds & Cage. Finally, click the yellow bird in the window.
6 | Evidence for the last conversation
Open answer (contains spoilers)
Use Reel Thingy to restrain the person who appears. Present separate evidence for the subsequent history, research, and Freya's intentions.
| Topic | Evidence / answer reference |
|---|---|
| Restraint | Reel Thingy |
| Discovery location | Study |
| The Mystid Mansion era | Group Photo |
| Insect research | Golden Beetle |
| Freya's wishes | Photo of Painting |
Emotion-related dialogue choices are not counted as branches into different endings. Continue the conversation to the end and confirm completion.
