NEW GAME / GUIDE INDEX
Invokyr Guide: Progression, Dice and Cooperation on Your First Board
Available in Early Access: early-game guide · Updated 2026-10-10
First, learn to check the current objective and return to the board with what you need, rather than trying to kill every monster. Separating exploration dice from board-progression dice makes your next action easier to choose.

Treat rolling, reading the objective and returning as one sequence
Rolling the board's movement die changes events in the mansion. A statue-collection round and a round about surviving a hazard need different approaches.
When statues are required, first check the number displayed above the board. Do not assume the count is always the same; read this round's display before leaving.
- Near the board, check the current objective and required count.
- Before exploring, share the return direction with your teammates.
- Collect statues or respond to hazards according to the objective.
- Return to the board and check whether the next movement die is available.
Read according to your current problem
First learn how to complete one objective, then add decisions about tools and cooperation.
| Problem | What to check | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| You do not know what advances progress | Board objective, required statue count and delivery | Early-game progression |
| You are unsure whether to use a die you found | How it differs from the board die, its effect and where to throw it | Using dice |
| You get separated and confused | Return routes, statue transport and tool responsibilities | Cooperation and saves |
| You want to continue or are unsure about saving | Host save selection and checkpoint displays | Cooperation and saves |
4 board themes at launch: do not reuse one approach everywhere
Early Access launched with 4 themes: Haunted Manor, Jungle, Icy Mountain and Desert. In the Japanese version, the corresponding mansion, jungle, icy mountain and desert themes provide useful reference points.
Hazards and encounters differ by theme. Do not assume movement or responses that worked on the previous board will always be safe on the next. Recheck changes from House Rules too.
Planned additions and released boards are separate. Unreleased themes are not included in the current guide scope.
Check save and connection updates during Early Access too
Updates shortly after launch changed host save selection, time since last save and the lobby list. Old demo videos may not match the current release screens.
Before quitting, check save information on the pause screen. Next time, distinguish starting a new game from continuing an existing save.
