ABOUT

What is Gunpoint?

A stealth puzzle game in which you play a freelance spy, entering high-security buildings to steal sensitive data. Its defining invention is the Crosslink, which lets you freely reconnect a building's electrical wiring. Connect a guard's light switch to a door, for example, and the door opens when he turns on the light. The game revolves around turning the facility itself into a trap rather than forcing your way through, and there is more than one solution. Distinctive movement powered by springs in your trousers is another feature. The source records over 13,000 Steam reviews and an Overwhelmingly Positive rating. Japanese is not officially supported.

「Rewire security instead of forcing your way past it」 — Based on the official Steam store description and review record

🔑 Key Points

1. Reconnect wiring with the Crosslink

Freely reconnect electrical wiring inside buildings. Creating traps by changing which switches control which doors is the core of the game.

2. There is more than one solution

The official description presents a design built around rewiring levels to trick people. There are several ways through the same stage.

3. Use mechanisms instead of brute force

Manipulating the environment so guards defeat themselves is a more fitting solution than confronting them directly.

4. Distinctive movement

Springs in your trousers let you leap great distances. Movement itself becomes a tool, such as crashing through a window to enter.

5. Japanese is not officially supported

The interface and text are in English. The puzzles, however, are designed to be visually understandable.

📚 Sources and Scope

This page contains only facts explicitly stated on the official Steam store . Individual character tier lists, strongest builds, and item statistics are omitted until reliable sources are available, because presenting guesses as facts would create misinformation:
