Power and Stopping Checks

Place an object on the fuel platform and press the adjacent button to increase Energy. Push the large right-facing button for propulsion; when steam builds, vent it on the left to accelerate.

Extinguishing and Repairing Are Separate Tasks

The fire hose extinguishes flames; the repair tool restores system durability. Check durability indicators for fuel, engine, sails, and vacuum, rather than continuing repairs while leaving flames burning.

Burning explosive barrels starts fires, so prepare easy hose access before feeding one in. If an outdoor storm is causing heavy damage, first move under a roof for shelter.

Hooks When Power Is Unavailable

Pull the ship with the front or rear red hooks. In muddy water, connect the front hook to a fixed hook ahead and winch out using the onboard button. Do not keep driving while connected; detach after escaping.

Counting Cargo and Distance

Each onboard hook holds one item. Hoarder requires 15 objects aboard simultaneously, rather than a cumulative total burned.

The distance counter accumulates across multiple saves and playthroughs. Do not waste fuel assuming you must reach 9001 in one run.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Q1 Water does not restore durability ▼
A

Use the repair tool obtained at the repair station on damaged systems, rather than the fire hose.

Q2 Does the vacuum automatically feed all fuel into the furnace? ▼
A

It collects objects from the ground. Feeding the fuel intake and deciding which souvenirs to keep remain separate tasks.
