From the three colored towers to obtaining the Falcon
Jenoba and the three colored towers: Separate the color collected from the color placed
A tower's color does not match the sapphire found there. After exploration, place gemstones matching the towers' colors in order.
Towns and dungeons to check: Jenoba / Blue Tower / Ruan / Red Tower / Green Tower / Medan Mine
- Buy the old woman a drink in Jenoba's underground tavern and hear about the gemstones. Finish this conversation before visiting the three towers.
- In the Blue Tower, fall through the 4F hole and take the Green Sapphire on 2F. Do not yet place this green gem on that tower's roof.
- Hear the conversation in Ruan and enter the Red Tower. Open the B1 chests first, then face Dark Spirit.
- After victory, revisit the basement now that the poison swamp is gone. Check updated chests and collection of the Blue Sapphire separately.
- In the Green Tower, move the lever in the small 2F room and inspect the broken red gem on 3F. Then return to Medan Mine and receive the Red Sapphire from the old man.
- Once you have all three colors, place blue in the Blue Tower, green in the Green Tower, then red in the Red Tower. Confirm Jerin learned Ateleto and travel to Elfrea.
Puzzle checks
- If placement is refused, check the color you hold, the tower you are in, and whether you began at the Blue Tower. Exploration order is not automatically placement order.
Collection Placement
Blue Tower → green gem Blue Tower: blue
Red Tower → blue gem Green Tower: green
Green Tower's broken gem → mine → red Red Tower: red
↓
Ateleto → Elfrea| Item to collect | Collection location / requirement | Placement destination |
|---|---|---|
| Green Sapphire | Blue Tower; fall from 4F to the 2F chest | Green Tower roof |
| Blue Sapphire | Red Tower; revisit the basement after defeating the boss | Blue Tower roof |
| Red Sapphire | Old man in Medan Mine after inspecting the broken gem in the Green Tower | Red Tower roof |
Dark Spirit: Heal after party-wide magic
- Prepare for Uo Lum's party-wide attack and keep the healer from focusing too heavily on offense. Consider the Uom Ring or Drain if available.
- Include revisiting the basement after the boss among your goals. Defeating it does not mean the blue gem has also been collected.
Collect and record before proceeding
- The 2 B1 chests in the Red Tower change contents before and after the boss. Open them before fighting, then return after victory. Missing the initial contents is not treated as a main-story softlock.
Next progression milestone: Finish placing gems in all three towers to reach Elfrea with Ateleto.

Elfrea, Ranqs, and the mountain-pass tunnel: Pass invisible walls
Hear Artea's information about the underwater sword and professor. In the tunnel, use the position immediately before entering the invisible-wall hall as the route's starting point.
Towns and dungeons to check: Elfrea / Ranqs / Cave east of Ranqs / Mountain-pass tunnel
- Meet Artea deep in Elfrea. Hear about the Dual Blade and Professor Raile, and also confirm receipt of Artea's Bow.
- Use the basement warp to reach the shrine, then unlock the door leading across. Pass through Ranqs and enter the mountain-pass tunnel.
- If invisible walls block you, hear the old man's advice in the cave east of Ranqs. Return to the tunnel after receiving the hint.
- Stop one step before entering the invisible-wall hall. Starting here, perform operations 1–10 in the table in order.
- Continue with 11–14. If you hit a wall, recheck the starting point; do not repeat only part of the route from an arbitrary position in the hall.
- Pass through the tunnel and head southwest to Odel.

Optional detours
- Compare Artea's Bow as an equipment option for Jerin.
Next progression milestone: Cross the pass and reach Odel.

Odel and Lyden: Watch the bridge repairs
Requesting help from Piron alone does not finish the job. Inspect the broken bridge on site, then move to higher ground to watch the repairs.
Towns and dungeons to check: Odel / Lyden / Cave west of Odel
- Hear about the suspension bridge in Odel and meet Piron at the castle. Visit his companions in Lyden's restaurant, then report to Piron again.
- Enter the cave west of Odel and actually inspect the broken suspension bridge. Return to town to advance the repair conversation.
- Talk to Piron during repairs. When asked to watch from the cliff upper-right of the bridge, use another cave entrance to reach the high ground.
- Watch the repairs from above, then return to the bridge side. Cross the repaired bridge to Arus.
Puzzle checks
- Decide your purpose before entering the cave. Confusing the bridge-inspection entrance with the entrance for watching repairs from above makes you retrace the same route.
Next progression milestone: After watching its repair, cross the bridge to continue to Arus.

Arus, Tower of Grief, and the laboratory: Obtain the surface ship
Hear Flake's information, confirm the professor's return, and receive the Falcon at Shaia Laboratory No. 1.
Towns and dungeons to check: Arus / Tower of Grief / Shaia Laboratory No. 1
- Watch the event in Arus's flower field and talk to the old man beyond it. Pass through the western cave to the Tower of Grief.
- On 3F of the Tower of Grief, use the lower-right stairs. Use the healing point higher up and finish the conversation with Flake at the top.
- After confirming Lufia's ability change and the professor's return, enter the basement of Shaia Laboratory No. 2 from the Odel Castle side.
- Head west from the basement crossroads to Laboratory No. 1. Meet Professor Raile and confirm obtaining the Falcon.
- At this stage, the ship travels on the sea surface. For a diving upgrade, continue the next request at Shaia Laboratory No. 3 to the west.
Collect and record before proceeding
- After obtaining the ship, check the Ancient Helmet in the Tower of Light's fixed chest before searching for Cooper. It is recommended as an early detour to avoid differing claims about its exact deadline.
- This article has not measured the exact formula for Lufia's maximum-MP increase. It does not give a fixed increase or present figures as optimal growth.
Next progression milestone: You can travel the sea surface with the Falcon and head to Shaia Laboratory No. 3.
