Choose the Map Based on Your Next Need
Distinguish what you want from combat and peaceful regions, combining card locations with resource-gathering locations. Guilds offer card-category choices; Universities strengthen technology.

Distinguish Ascension from the First Clear
Ascension is a tiered challenge available after clearing Normal or higher with the chosen faction. Select unfavorable modifiers yourself and advance through the tiers. Rewards across all 10 tiers are cosmetic, separate from ordinary upgrades.
- Learn your main production and combat flow in normal mode.
- Check that faction's clear status and Ascension unlock.
- Read added modifiers and experiment while avoiding conditions that particularly weaken your current deck.
Do Not Assume a Fixed Boss Order
Free update 1.2 added The Gate, The Fortification, and The Basilica. Check the boss appearing on the map, then prepare for divided placements, additional pieces, or conditions that steal friendly units.
Version 1.2.19 introduces a cap to Military Hospital. Do not carry setups relying on unlimited upgrades from older versions straight into current strategies.
Every Ascension modifier, every solution to added bosses, and full challenge-completion tables for all factions are not included.
