Read the board and starting relic first
- Check starting relics and dice on the character-selection screen.
- Identify damage, defense and support roles and look for combinations usable together on the opening turn.
- Check energy requirements and target ranges. Placing a die does not mean every die activates in the same way.
- Read the selected difficulty and challenge requirements, separating a normal clear from additional objectives.
Decision order each turn
- Read enemy intents and choose whom to defeat and which attacks must be defended.
- Calculate needed damage and defense first; do not rely only on favorable rolls.
- Place main and support dice, then check boost targets and activation order.
- Decide whether to spend or retain spare energy, including the starting relic’s conditions.
- Before ending the turn, check that you survive attacks from enemies left alive.
Choose route rewards around the missing role

| Current problem | Action to consider | Caution |
|---|---|---|
| Defense is too slow | Strengthen defense and make it available when needed | Do not overextend on the assumption that healing will appear later |
| Cannot draw the main die | Review unnecessary dice, draw options and deck size | Do not ignore deck-size relics when removing dice |
| The board fills up | Review placement order and how much support you need | Adding another strong die alone may not solve it |
| Damage stalls in long fights | Check properties depleted by use and sustainable damage | Do not assume a short fight’s success transfers to a boss |

Track area progression separately from bosses
Achievements confirm Area 2, The Monarch’s Grove, and Area 3, The Dormant Palace. Use the current map and encounter order rather than assuming a fixed floors-one-to-six structure. Defeat achievements include Croissantpillar Chef, Scorpion Rider, Mantis Duo, Mosquito Duke and Queen Bee. A list of boss names does not mean they appear in that order every run.
Examples of 1.0 boss challenges
Scroll wide tables horizontally to see every column.
| Target | Condition in the 1.0 announcement | Difference from a normal clear |
|---|---|---|
| Croissantpillar Chef | Defeat before turn 5 | Needs early damage, not endurance alone |
| Queen Bee | Defeat without using Royal Jelly slots | Restricts a normally useful board effect |
| Mantis | Do not defeat any Mantis before turn 7 | Defeating it quickly is not the objective |
| Mosquito Duke | Defeat with no Sting Dice left in the deck | Inspect the deck before dealing the final blow |

After a clear: progression, difficulty and the true ending
Version 1.0 added character progression, boss challenges, a true ending and additional boss, and D8. A normal completed run does not automatically satisfy them all. Check character progression and unfinished achievements, then choose one objective for the next run. Full true-ending conditions and every difficulty change remain unchecked, so guessed steps are not presented as a confirmed walkthrough.
Frequently asked questions
How far should I thin the deck?
There is no fixed count. Consider board space, energy, draw and deck-size relics together.
What is D8?
Decadent Deck is the difficulty added in 1.0. Read its restrictions on the selection screen.
Will the fastest boss kill complete every challenge?
No. Some conditions require waiting, and others forbid particular slots. Read additional challenges separately from normal clears.
