ANIMAL WELL
ANIMAL WELL: get the B. Wand and Disc without a long ghost chase
The B. Wand and Disc give you useful ways to revisit early rooms, but ANIMAL WELL does not impose a single acquisition order. Use this route as a way out of an early dead end. It covers the bubble tool, the safe Disc exchange and their basic movement uses; it stops before the deeper egg and rabbit secrets.

Start from a place you can recognize
Use a telephone before exploring a new branch. After finding the map, visit the egg room for the map stamps and mark a blocked passage instead of assuming you must solve it immediately. A room can be reachable before you have the most convenient tool for its puzzle. The central room with the four animal altars is a useful reference point when comparing branches.
Get the B. Wand from the seahorse route
Open solution / late-game details
Explore west from the central part of the well until you reach the water rooms where a seahorse produces bubbles. You do not already need a wand for this puzzle: the creature supplies the platforms. Reach and press the three yellow switches using those bubbles, then take the newly opened exit at the upper left. Open the green chest in the following room to collect the B. Wand.
Test it on safe ground before returning to a difficult gap. A bubble rises when empty, then descends slowly under your weight. Jump onto it and use it to extend a crossing or control a fall. Air currents can lift an occupied bubble. Vines and other obstacles can break it, so check the route above you as well as the landing.
The original wand can support repeated bubble jumps with careful timing. Try jumping and using the tool together in a spacious room, rather than treating a later upgrade as the only way to gain height. This technique takes practice; it is not a demand to use an advanced skip for every early puzzle. A nearby fish-head pipe also reacts to a bubble and can provide another route.
Exchange the Disc instead of stealing it
Open solution / late-game details
The Disc is at the dog shrine in the northeastern part of the map. Removing it without a substitute wakes a pursuing ghost. If that happened before you understood the room, return the Disc to its pedestal and explore the route around the shrine first.
Work around the left side and the rooms above the shrine to find the Mock Disc in a chest. The route includes dark rooms and switches that change barriers. Firecrackers can help with ghosts and visibility. Once you hold the substitute, return to the shrine and exchange it for the real Disc. The safe exchange gives you the tool without turning the whole pickup into an escape sequence.
Use the new tools to choose your next room
Throw the Disc horizontally to activate a distant switch or distract a dog. In an open room, let it rebound from a wall and jump onto it to learn how to ride it. Hanging vines interrupt its flight. A dog chasing the Disc is a temporary opportunity to pass, not a defeated enemy.
Return to your marked gaps and switch puzzles. Use bubbles for height and controlled descent; use the Disc for horizontal reach and movement. If a branch still needs another interaction, explore elsewhere and return. The B. B. Wand is a later upgrade that permits multiple bubbles; it is a separate item from the B. Wand used here.
Questions and answers
Is the B. Wand the same as the B. B. Wand?
They are separate items. This guide uses the early B. Wand; the later B. B. Wand permits multiple bubbles. The early wand can still support timed bubble jumps.
