A Short Hike collectibles: obtaining four maps, digging sites and rare fish

The four maps are found in different places from their treasure. Obtain the regular shovel, dig at the landmark and open the chest.

Map poems and illustrations are not reproduced; acquisition routes and digging landmarks are separated. In Her Shadow's feather is the existing G08, not an addition to the feather total.

Rare forms corresponding to the 14 ordinary species
Submit ordinary fish to the captain for the Golden Fishing Rod to make rare forms easier to target. Rare fish use their base species' waters too. The golden-rod achievement needs the 14 ordinary species, not another submission of all 14 rare forms.
Older fishing text claiming 15 species disagrees with the 14 ordinary species actually listed. This article prioritizes the 14-species index and unregistered slots in the game's journal.

Sizes, bait and permit
Tiny and Big sizes also exist. Do not add rare names and size variations as extra ordinary species. No fixed probabilities or total of all size combinations is asserted.
Speak twice to the cat at the blue tent near White Coast, then return with the camping permit found through fishing to receive bait. The captain pays coins for the first of each species and bait for subsequent fish of the same species.
