Check the campaign and mode first
Select Shovel of Hope on the profile selection screen and check whether you are starting normally or playing New Game+. Treasure Trove's five games are not five chapters played with the same controls.

Review one failed attempt
After a fall, review the landing point; after taking damage, review the enemy's movement; if a relic does not activate, check your selection and magic. This gives the next attempt a smaller objective.
- Identify one safe floor in the preceding screen
- Change only one thing at a time: input, position or relic
- After getting through, check when the game saves on returning to the map and review your inventory
