Before checking prices and uses

The following tables are collapsed because relic names, locations and prices give acquisition clues. Prices use in-game currency, and magic costs are for one normal use. Prioritize the display in your current game.

English names are included for identification. Unofficial translations are not presented as fixed names from the current Japanese PC UI.

Buying rules and recovering from a missed purchase

  1. Find Chester in a blue chest inside the stage and check your money and his stock. Opening the chest alone does not complete a purchase
  2. If you cannot buy the item, completing the stage adds it to Chester's stock beneath the Village. The price is higher than inside the stage, so compare this with revisiting to buy it there
  3. Do not confuse Chester's Village relics with the chalices sold by another resident
  4. After purchasing, select the relic in the subscreen and use it once on flat ground. Check its magic cost and movement direction before taking it into a difficult section

This covers normal campaign shop and stage purchases. Custom Knight amiibo items and other protagonists' exchange items are excluded.

Frequently asked questions

Can I recover a relic I missed buying?

Some normal relics can be obtained by revisiting or buying in the Village. Check solution 01 for requirements and price differences, then the following solutions for each item.

Is more expensive armor stronger?

Price alone does not decide. Some equipment changes handling or damage taken in exchange for its effect; compare both sides in the armor table.

Can other protagonists use the same relics?

Each campaign handles different equipment systems. This table is for Shovel of Hope only.

I used the relic but still failed

Check selection, magic, platforms and the target you need to hit, in that order. Specific adjustments by symptom are in the final collapsed solution.
