ABOUT

What is Shogun Showdown?

A turn-based roguelite where you choose movement, turns, tile preparation and attacks on a single-row battlefield. Combine the positioning abilities of five characters with tile cooldowns to progress from Day 1 to Day 7.

ℹ️ Information organized from reference material Steam store page →

Scope: PC full release, version 1.0 series (sources compared through official patch 1.0.2.1). Excludes Prologue, old Alpha versions and mods. Behavior has not been verified through gameplay or video, and individual console patch numbers remain unconfirmed. / Content checked: October 2, 2026

Six steps to learn before your first win

  1. Read the tiles above enemies' heads. Distinguish whether they will prepare next or execute an already queued attack.
  2. Decide where you want to attack before queuing a tile. Moving, turning and preparing all give enemies a chance to advance.
  3. Keep Swirl for nearby enemies and Arrow for distant enemies ahead. Even when two tiles are prepared together, execution order can change Arrow's target.
  4. Keep the Wanderer's swap available when dodging enemy spears or charges. Also check whether another enemy can attack the destination.
  5. Use the first tile reward to fill a missing role: rear attacks, range or escape. Do not plan around randomly redrawing your main tile.
  6. After defeating the Shogun, advance to the next Day with that character. Day progression and stamps are tracked separately for each character.
