What is Rabi-Ribi?
For a first NORMAL playthrough: where to backtrack, how to prepare in town and how to advance stele events. Choose beginner, walkthrough or major-boss guides, and distinguish Post Game from DLC.
Edition: Rabi-Ribi PC Steam base game, Story Mode, mainly a first NORMAL playthrough. Includes Post Game. DLC, SPECIAL, Boss Rush, 0% and clipping routes are treated separately.
Verification scope: Official store, official updates and guide sources checked on 2026-10-04. Gameplay and the installed build number have not been tested. English names accompany places and abilities with differing Japanese translations.

Separate blocked paths, too few recruits and combat defeats
Rabi-Ribi combines Erina's melee attacks with Ribbon's magic. Progress order is flexible, but not every passage or event is open initially. Choose the article matching your current problem.

| Problem | First check | Article |
|---|---|---|
| You cannot cross a high platform or narrow passage | Movement abilities and places to revisit | Beginner guide |
| Returning to town does not advance the chapter | Recruitment status and conversation near the stele | Story walkthrough |
| You repeatedly lose to one attack | Boss name, which encounter and whether difficulty is NORMAL | Major boss guide |
| You want to know the content before buying | Base-game versus additional-content scope | This page's DLC section |

These four articles assume normal item collection. Hidden movement from 0% clear videos is not treated as mandatory for a first playthrough.
Explore in a loop: get an ability, retry an earlier branch, prepare in town
A new ability opens previously unreachable places as well as helping in combat. Choose one branch suited to your latest ability instead of chasing every unexplored path at once.
- Check warp points and save points in a new region.
- Note the place and obstacle together: a low tunnel, overhead platform or underwater ledge you cannot reach.
- After getting an ability, retry only obstacles suited to it.
- Review collected upgrades and usable badges, and replenish healing items in town before the next expedition.
Event requirements may remain after backtracking. If jumping techniques do not solve it, check town requests and your current chapter.
Movement abilities and their obstacles
Remember what an ability lets you cross rather than just its name. Specific pickup directions are in the walkthrough.
Wide tables scroll horizontally.
| Ability | What changes in exploration | How to check |
|---|---|---|
| Carrot Bomb | Breaks compatible walls or floors | Place it by suspicious terrain and look for changes after the explosion |
| Rabi Slippers | Increases normal jump height | Return to platforms that were just out of reach |
| Sliding Powder | Lets you pass low horizontal tunnels | Use a slide in a narrow passage where crouching alone is insufficient |
| Air Jump | Lets you jump once more in midair | Use it to reach high platforms and adjust landings |
| Air Dash | Lets you move horizontally in midair | Bridges distance to separated platforms |
| Water Orb / Light Orb | Helps underwater movement / visibility in darkness | Reduces difficult underwater jumps and blind entries into unseen terrain |

These are normal-route uses. Special techniques can bypass abilities, but that is not this table's premise.
Town is both a recovery point and a place that advances chapters
Inviting people encountered on the island to town helps progress. Boss victories and recruited members are not necessarily the same count.
- Check town-member status after exploration.
- For someone not yet recruited, look for a remaining rematch, conversation or request.
- If the next objective is unclear, speak to Rumi near the stele.
- Enter the stele event once prepared. Keep a manual save from which you can return to shopping or collection.
Cocoa and Ashuri do not join after their first defeat alone. Their individual requirements are in the walkthrough's collapsed answers.
Upgrades help, although enemy levels also change
Boss strength adjusts with progress and collection. Even so, a first playthrough need not reduce item percentage at the expense of avoidance or healing options.
- If repeated hits defeat you quickly, review Health Ups and the healing items you carry.
- If you cannot create attack opportunities, prioritize learning to use movement abilities and the amulet.
- Against distant opponents, try Ribbon's magic or your available ranged options.
Standard and Alternative are enemy-level adjustment systems, separate from difficulty settings such as NORMAL. Match both when comparing videos or guide examples.
Post Game is part of the base game; extra chapters and SPECIAL DLC are separate
The base game includes Post Game after the first major ending point. Additional-content equipment and bosses are not required for this base-game walkthrough.
Wide tables scroll horizontally.
| Content | Treatment in these four articles |
|---|---|
| Main Game and Post Game | Covered as the base-game walkthrough |
| Is the order a DLC? | Extra chapters Fairies Attack! / Finding Memories; outside this guide's scope |
| Cocoa Mode & Before Next Adventure | Cocoa mode and extra SPECIAL encounters; separate from base-game Erina strategies |
| Cicini’s Halloween! | Additional content on Steam. Do not confuse Halloween battles with the normal version |

Even if you own DLC, preparations here use abilities available in the base game. Bundled content varies by console edition, so it is not equated with the standalone Steam release.
