Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

The Lost Crown Map Guide: Memory Shards, Fariba and Return Routes

When a chest or passage is visible but unreachable, save the obstacle to the map and keep exploring. A useful Memory shows both the barrier and the place you would approach it from. Revisit that image after gaining a relevant power, instead of repeating every unfinished jump.

Use the map, Memories and Fariba’s regional maps

The Eye of the Wanderer provides the map and supports saved screenshots called Memories. Memory Shards provide space for those records. A regional map purchased from Fariba fills in a biome’s layout; it does not mean every visible passage is already usable with your current powers.

ToolWhat it tells youWhat to do next
World mapWhere is this room relative to nearby paths?Compare the room’s entrance with the route you can actually reach.

Fariba’s regional mapWhere does the biome continue beyond explored rooms?Find an accessible edge; an outline is not proof that an obstacle is open.

When Memory Shards become available

Ubisoft places the unlock at the first Wak-Wak Tree, before reaching The Haven. If the feature is missing at the start of the campaign, continue to that early tutorial before looking for an endgame item or a different combat ability.

The screenshot records a place you may want to revisit. Taking it does not acquire the chest, complete the puzzle or unlock a missing Time Power. Treat it as a reminder attached to a location, with a reason to return.

Save an image that will still make sense later

Stand where the obstacle is visible and include a useful landmark: the high ledge, the blocked opening or the nearby platform. The advice below is an editorial recording method; it does not add a note-writing or labeling feature to the game.

  1. Move to a safe spot where the image includes the obstacle and its approach.
  2. Use the assigned Memory Shard action shown in your controls. Holding the action can save the Memory and open the world map immediately.
  3. On the map, inspect the new Memory’s position and view the saved image.
  4. Continue toward an available objective. After a relevant power unlock, review that image before making the return trip.

Free up a Memory slot when you run out

Remove an old saved image to free space for another Memory. Prefer a solved location or an image that no longer tells you anything useful. If you are unsure what it showed, view it before removal; deleting a reminder is not the same as collecting its reward.

  1. Open the world map.
  2. Select the Memory and choose View.
  3. Choose the Memory’s delete action, then confirm Remove.
  4. Return to the current obstacle and save the new image with the freed space.

Find Fariba and buy a regional map

Ubisoft’s Eye of the Wanderer article prices a regional map at 50 Time Crystals and says to listen for Fariba’s humming. When you find her in a biome, read the offered map and price before buying. The map helps locate areas still to explore; it is not an automatic solution for a sealed route.

After purchasing, compare the new outline with your Memories. An apparent route may enter from a different room or height. Before attempting the same wall repeatedly, look for an adjacent branch that reaches the other side. This is route planning from the map, not a claim that every blocked door has a nearby shortcut.

Plan a return trip after gaining a new power

Review your saved images as a group, then choose places that plausibly match the new action. A higher jump does not automatically solve a dimension-dependent obstacle, and a grapple action does not attach to arbitrary scenery. The separate ability guide covers the powers and their unlock sequence.

Questions and answers

When can I start using Memory Shards?

Ubisoft places the unlock at the first Wak-Wak Tree, before The Haven. Continue the early tutorial if the action is not available yet.

Are Memory Shards consumed permanently when I save a picture?

A placed Memory occupies space, but you can delete that Memory from the world map and reuse the slot. Additional shards are also found in chests.

Does Fariba’s map open every route?

It reveals the biome’s layout. You may still need a traversal power, a mechanism or a different entrance to reach a particular location.
