Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Tips: Parries, Equipment and the Map

Choose the action troubling you from four categories: combat, records, equipment and exploration. Check settings and missing powers, then revisit places where the same action keeps failing.

Combat fundamentals

  • Separate the opening created by a parry from an Athra Surge. Read the tell, begin with short counters, then return to defense. Athra gained from a parry is not the Surge activation itself.
  • Aerial attacks are an option against ground opponents or height differences. Check your landing and the enemy’s reach first; being airborne is not automatically safe.
  • Rush of the Simurgh is the traversal air dash. Use it for movement and positioning rather than assuming that passing through an enemy always deals damage.

Using memory images and markers

  • Save an image of a blocked route or puzzle with the Eye of the Wanderer. Its map position becomes a reminder to revisit after acquiring the needed power.
  • Mark height barriers, special platforms, cracked walls and dedicated anchors separately. Update records after solving them to avoid repeated searches of the same place.

Amulet fundamentals

  • Capacity starts at 3. If health is the problem, read owned survival options such as Blessing and make room. Count occupied slots rather than items, because an item may use several.
  • After obtaining Shadow, check individual triggers such as Divine Spear’s beam during teleportation and Shockwave’s marker destruction. Owning Shadow alone does not double every attack.
  • Change amulets at a Wak-Wak Tree for the next boss or exploration task. Distinguish purchase and upgrade costs from changing equipment; changes are not assumed possible anywhere at any time.

Exploration and revisits

  • After gaining a power, choose images and markers it may resolve. Narrow revisits by the required action rather than searching every region again each time.
  • Time Crystals are currency. Choose the purchase or upgrade first; do not confuse collection progress with your current balance. Record map chests and the separate Xerxes currency individually.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Q1 How should a beginner choose difficulty? ▼
A

Check Rookie, Warrior, Hero, Immortal and custom options in the menu, then test early enemies and choose according to controls and damage. Platforming assistance and combat difficulty are separate choices.

Q2 In what order do I obtain powers? ▼
A

Rush follows Jahandar, and Shadow is obtained in The Depths. Clairvoyance and Dimensional Claw are contemporary goals without an imposed order. For Gravity Wings, summon Satevis after Azhdaha and return; Fabric of Time follows Vahram at the Observatory.

Q3 How should I approach 100% completion? ▼
A

Use map gaps, markers and saved images, separating amulets, Holders, Sand Jars, health upgrades and other categories. This guide does not contain every coordinate or every platform’s completion formula.

Q4 What should I compare between Switch, PC and other platforms? ▼
A

Choose by portable play, your PC hardware, controls and display setup. This guide does not certify measured frame rates across all platforms; check support and settings in official information.

Q5 How does it compare with Ori, Hollow Knight and similar games? ▼
A

As an editorial comparison, it suits players interested in parries and combat strings, platform movement and map-image reminders alongside exploration. This is not a measured numerical difficulty comparison.

Q6 How should I collect Time Crystals? ▼
A

Check enemies, breakable objects and chests, and choose the upgrade you want first. Ard’s Fortune helps enemy drops, but a fastest farming region and fixed total spending requirement have not been measured.
