Ember Twin: hints for underground entrances and sand

If the entrance is unclear, inspect the large surface structure. If a deeper passage becomes blocked, compare an earlier arrival at the same place.

  1. Hint 1: the Escape Pod marks the surface, with an underground route nearby
  2. Hint 2: match Sunless City light controls to district names
  3. Hint 3: the High Energy Lab route sometimes requires more than simply avoiding sand

Ember Twin answers: city, lab and fossil

Arrive early in the loop. If sand is already too high, returning through the entrance next loop is more reliable.

  1. Enter underground near the Escape Pod and follow signs to the Sunless City
  2. Use the central lighting controls to identify destinations and enter the passage toward the lower High Energy Lab
  3. Follow the cable. Where cacti obstruct a low crossing, wait until rising sand provides sufficient height, then cross
  4. In the lab, read the tower designs upstairs as well as inspecting the devices
  5. For the fossil, fire the Scout into the anglerfish's mouth from the high ledge, then find its light from the Stepping Stone Cave side and climb

Reaching the Lakebed Cave before sand buries it also matters. Descend the large northern depression where Chert is and find the entrance at the bottom.

Brittle Hollow: hints for unreachable ruins

A closed surface door does not mean the entire building is inaccessible. Treat collapse as an environmental change, not merely an obstacle.

  1. Hint 1: following Riebeck's sound from the surface helps locate a descent underground
  2. Hint 2: follow underground signs toward the Southern Observatory
  3. Hint 3: if gravity prevents climbing the Tower of Quantum Knowledge, consider whether the tower can move somewhere with different gravity

Brittle Hollow answers: observatory, tower and forge

Choose a landing point for each platform in case terrain collapses. Falling through to the white-hole side also lets you learn return travel and warp conditions at the nearby station.

  1. Reach the Southern Observatory via underground signs, such as those near the Tower of Quantum Knowledge. Bridge broken paths with the jetpack and follow gravity-crystal platforms
  2. Use the Scout to confirm safe routes through Ghost Matter. Flying upward is not always safe
  3. After the Tower of Quantum Knowledge falls through the black hole with its crust, enter from below on the white-hole side and climb inside using zero gravity
  4. For the forge, first raise it using the Hanging City's controls
  5. During that same loop, visit the corresponding Ash Twin tower and warp to investigate the forge

No fixed minute-and-second collapse times are asserted. Judge by the tower's condition and Scout readings.

Giant's Deep: hints for reaching the center

Different obstacles follow one another in the depths. After crossing one, seek another clue rather than forcing the same action through the next.

  1. Hint 1: Construction Yard records describe an object that passed through the current
  2. Hint 2: a facility on Brittle Hollow reproduces that phenomenon
  3. Hint 3: observe a creature capable of entering the electrified center and follow Feldspar's findings

Giant's Deep answers: beneath the current to the tracking module

You need two methods: passing downward through the current and entering the core without electrical harm.

  1. Apply the rotation difference learned at the Southern Observatory: fly into a counterclockwise tornado to descend beneath the current
  2. Use Feldspar's clue to learn about jellyfish
  3. Near the core, leave the ship and approach a jellyfish directly from below to enter beneath its bell, avoiding its exterior
  4. Cross the electrical layer with the jellyfish, leave it and head to the Probe Tracking Module
  5. Move the device's orb between displays and confirm the findings and coordinates enter the Ship Log

Crossing the tornado alone does not reach the core. This guide does not recommend ramming the electrical barrier with the ship.

Quantum Moon: hints for finding three rules

A disappearing moon is not solved simply by fast piloting. Investigate continued observation, traveling together and reaching the destination as separate conditions.

Quantum Moon answers: land while viewing a photograph, then reach the north pole

This is important optional exploration. It is not forced to activate the final transport device, but leads to meeting a character.

  1. Photograph the moon from space with the Scout and enter its clouds while keeping the moon's image displayed. Avoid switching to the landing camera, which removes that image
  2. Enter the shrine, close the door and extinguish all lights. Restore light and check which body the moon now orbits
  3. Use terrain differences between locations to move north
  4. Make the shrine appear at the north pole, then enter and use darkness to move to the sixth location
  5. Talk to Solanum by combining the offered stones

A blocked exit after moving to the sixth location from elsewhere indicates an unmet condition. Change the shrine's position and retry.

Interloper: hints for the icy entrance

If a crack on the comet is closed, observe orbit and temperature changes before searching for another tool.

  1. Hint 1: investigation records are near the Nomai shuttle on the rear side
  2. Hint 2: Sun-facing ice does not stay the same throughout the orbit
  3. Hint 3: send the Scout ahead through slippery passages inside

Answer 11 (spoilers)

Answer — reveal (spoilers)Close

Interloper answers: the crack opened by approaching the Sun

Wait near the Sun-facing crack and enter when its ice melts during approach.

  1. Descend once it opens; do not try to bring the ship inside
  2. Inspect branches with Scout photographs and hazard readings before following
  3. Slippery floors make stopping difficult after starting, so confirm a safe direction before entering
  4. Read the records deeper inside and check remaining-exploration marks in the Ship Log

Do not leave the investigation until late in the orbit when it approaches the Sun too closely. Visit on a trip where you can observe the entrance opening.

Dark Bramble: hints for targets and movement

Decide whom or what you are tracking instead of choosing white lights randomly. Feldspar's instrument and Nomai distress beacons use different frequencies.

  1. Hint 1: identify the distress-beacon frequency at an Escape Pod on another body
  2. Hint 2: inspect Anglerfish Fossil records for a sensory weakness
  3. Hint 3: even if you cannot enter a small seed, the Scout can

Answer 13 (spoilers)

Dark Bramble answers: Escape Pod 3 to the Vessel

You do not need the late-game cargo on your first Vessel visit. Practice the route and inspect the cockpit first.

  1. Follow the distress beacon to Escape Pod 3
  2. Follow the light markers from its emergency exit to the Nomai Grave
  3. Send the Scout into the grave's small seed to get a signal locating the Vessel
  4. Follow its marker through the larger seed. Build forward momentum before the entrance to the red-looking area
  5. Stop thrust near the anglerfish beyond the entrance and coast through. Do not assume short keyboard thrust taps are always safe
  6. Adjust course after gaining enough distance, follow the Scout marker and enter the Vessel. Inspect the cockpit core and devices

After your first visit, marking the Vessel on the HUD through the Ship Log simplifies return trips. Following only Feldspar's signal will not lead there.

Ash Twin: hints for tower alignment and timing

Different facilities explain tower appearance, destination positions and warp alignment. Do not assume a broken roof simply means a broken device.

  1. Hint 1: read tower designs at the High Energy Lab
  2. Hint 2: learn warp alignment at White Hole Station
  3. Hint 3: at the Black Hole Forge, confirm the twins' alignment point and activation window

Answer 15 (spoilers)

Answer — reveal (spoilers)Close

Ash Twin answers: entering the central facility

Use the lower twin tower with the broken roof. Wait beneath shelter to avoid being lifted by the sand column first.

  1. Wait until receding sand reveals the towers and floors. Park the ship clear of the sand flow
  2. Wait under the small shelter behind the broken tower
  3. When Ember Twin passes overhead and the sand column reaches the tower's center, step onto the warp pad
  4. If unsuccessful, check that you chose the correct tower and did not step out before the column reached it
  5. On a trip only to investigate, leave the important core in place and inspect records and the return route

Use sand, the overhead body and floor condition as references instead of relying only on fixed elapsed minutes.

Endgame hints: connect three findings

Everything below leads directly to the base-game ending. To keep exploring first, review how major Ship Log entries connect.

  1. Hint 1: the information locating a destination and the machine that travels there are in different places
  2. Hint 2: remember what was missing from the inactive machine
  3. Hint 3: consider what removing a usable replacement would do to the facility currently using it

Answer 17 (spoilers)

Answer — reveal (spoilers)Close

Endgame answers: connect practiced actions in one loop

Record the Eye of the Universe coordinates first. Practice entering and leaving the Ash Twin Project and reaching Dark Bramble's Vessel on separate trips, rather than leaving the final flight entirely unfamiliar.

  1. In a new loop, enter the Ash Twin Project, control the core cover and gravity, and remove the Advanced Warp Core
  2. This stops the device driving the loop, so return to your ship without detours and depart for Dark Bramble
  3. Use the Ship Log's Vessel marker and cut thrust near anglerfish to reach it
  4. Remove the broken cockpit core and insert the Advanced Warp Core you brought
  5. Move the control orb toward the bow to reveal the input device and reproduce the three coordinate symbols from the Ship Log in order
  6. Confirm the input and activate warp; after arrival, use the device to go outside

Dying without replacing the core causes a game over instead of the normal loop, but does not delete your save. You can resume from the menu.

Final-area answers: follow the observatory and sounds

At the final destination, you do not need to return to the device out of concern for the usual planetary time limit. Follow the environmental changes ahead.

  1. Cross the terrain and jump into the rising quantum flow
  2. Inspect the observatory exhibits and operate the display upstairs
  3. In the forest you reach, create a campfire, listen to Esker and follow instrument sounds with the Signalscope
  4. Investigate places associated with the instruments to gather the explorers at the campfire
  5. When everyone is present, ask each person to play and enter the blue sphere growing above the campfire

Optional exploration and DLC encounters change what appears here. The base game alone can reach this point.

Frequently asked questions

Must I complete every Ship Log entry to finish?

Full log completion and the ending's requirements are separate. Skipping investigations can leave travel rules and story connections unclear, so check branches related to your questions.

Am I stuck if I cannot land at the Sun Station?

Direct ship landing is unnecessary. A warp route leads from Ash Twin's Sun-shaped tower. Cross its cactus passage while sand is at the right height.

Does failing after taking the core delete my save?

No. Dying after stopping the device causes a game over, but you can resume through the menu.
