Reread documents through Photographic Memory
- Interact with new letters, books, and notices and read their contents.
- Confirm the same document opens through Photographic Memory in the menu.
- In your own notes, record likely lock connections and calculations tried rather than copying document contents.
Storing read documents differs from saving game progress. Seeing a document does not mean progress has also been saved.
Separate BSGS from external notes
The handheld BSGS from the gatehouse has a calculator. Use it to test candidate numbers, and separately record which door each result concerns.
Scroll horizontally to read wide tables.
| What to record | Example |
|---|---|
| Location and input format | Reception box / rotating sections / 4 digits |
| Evidence | Letter's date + following-year instruction |
| Attempt result | Year entered and how far the door opened |
No entries in this table match. Shorten the search or clear the input to show all entries again.
Saving at computers
- Remember computer locations as save points.
- Save after new keys, maps, or major puzzle solutions.
- Before finishing exploration, perform the save action and confirm a loadable record.
Do not quit assuming autosave. Include returning to a save point in your exploration session.
Frequently asked questions
Must I manually aim a camera and take photos?
Use Photographic Memory to reread documents. Manual photography is not presented as a required step.
Can I manage every calculation inside the game?
BSGS can calculate, but personal notes help organize relationships between multiple locks and hypotheses.
