Major battles: access requirements and preparations

Before heading to a boss

1. Check both equipment and SKILL. Confirm that a special technique for your current weapon and the instrument you intend to use are assigned.
2. Bring the companion required by the event. For the Bone Fortress, also check the pet or golem slot.
3. Save at an entrance or save point. In chapters with consecutive battles, also check the return sequence and next battle after winning.

Mantis Ant: the end of the highway

Niccolo's task is not finished simply by obtaining the Wheel.

1. Travel with Niccolo to Luon Highway and take the branch to the earth's rift.
2. Finish the battle at the end and continue through Niccolo's reward conversation. Merely returning to town does not confirm event completion.

Du'Inke: rescuing Shinju-hime

This chapter explores the Jade Egg's caverns with Ruri.

1. Find Shinju-hime's scene deep in Mekiv Caverns.
2. Defeat the enemy to complete the rescue. Finish the cavern event before advancing the tower escort.

The tower has battles on the way up and back

1. Take Shinju-hime to the top of the Tower of Leires.
2. After the upper battle, escort Shinju-hime back to the entrance. Confirm the Jewel Beast battle at the exit and receipt of the artifact.

Bone Fortress: after the party separates

1. Enter with all three slots filled by the protagonist, Larc and a pet or golem. Check this party size if the switch does not work.
2. After separation, prioritize finding companions and collecting keys. Once the Sierra battle yields a key, return to floors you have not explored.
3. Reunite, then finish the upper-floor battle and the battle beyond it.

Dragon Emperor: from the Underworld to the Flames

1. After finishing the White Forest trial, accept Sierra's company in the Underworld.
2. The Larc battle changes the land into the Flames. Recruit Sierra again at the castle entrance and work through the mechanisms inside.
3. Finish the showdown with Tiamat and return home.

Jewel King: retrieve jewels from the gates

1. In the Bejeweled City, retrieve jewels after opening gates. Leaving them behind as you climb reduces the choices you have on hand.
2. Work through each floor's jewels and battles, then finish both forms of the Jewel King at the end.

Mana Goddess: the final battle after four fights

1. Climb the tree in the Sanctuary of Mana and explore the nine upper areas.
2. After defeating enemy groups in four places, proceed to the Goddess battle. Prepare techniques and instruments beforehand.
3. After winning, continue through the credits and confirm that cleared-game data is saved.

Scope of combat statistics

• This article does not cross-check every boss's HP, level scaling, elemental weaknesses or attack frames. Specific numbers and strongest-character rankings are not included.
• Instrument magic is described as area attacks. Earlier advice to prepare healing and support magic has not been adopted.
