Kowloon's Gate: Controls, Feng Shui, and Combat。The basics of conversation, exploration, qi, the Five Elements' overcoming cycle, the Seven-Treasure Sword, and Navigators.
Basic Systems
| System | Practical Use |

| Progression in Town | Do not stop after a single conversation. Revisit residents after returning from a hutong or moving between districts. |
| JPEG Dungeons | Press START to shorten movement footage. Reduce backtracking by checking your position and choosing the appropriate movement speed. |
| Real-Time Dungeons | Use the Feng Shui Scope to check qi channels and your location. Recover in an uncontaminated space when your qi turns yellow or red. |
| Seven-Treasure Sword | Store malign qi and attack Guili with an overcoming element. Holding all 5 elements is dangerous, so operate with no more than 4. |
| Five Elements' Overcoming Cycle | Water → Fire, Fire → Metal, Metal → Wood, Wood → Earth, Earth → Water. Choose malign qi that overcomes the enemy's element. |
| Guili Orbs / Shell Powder | Guili Orbs are a fallback that works regardless of element. Shell Powder adjusts a Guili's element. |
| Navigators | Hire one before entering a hutong and replenish the elements you need. Save before entering and check your inventory at the same time. |
Your Initial Routine
Talk to Residents Again
Speak to them again after returning from a hutong, moving to another district, acquiring a key item, or reading mail.
Organize Before Entering
Check your Navigator, the Seven-Treasure Sword's malign qi, Guili Orbs, healing items, keys and trade items, and separate save data.
Memorize the Overcoming Cycle Consistently
Always remember the cycle in the same direction: Water overcomes Fire, Fire overcomes Metal, Metal overcomes Wood, Wood overcomes Earth, and Earth overcomes Water.
Do Not Mix Up Access Cards
Your own card, the found card, Mr. Xia's card, and Zhang Lu's card have different purposes. Match them against section numbers.
