Upgrade stones and items to check before progressing, unlocking First-Press Wine and the side event visible after the final fight.

Checks before moving on

Put First-Press Wine in the shops
- After receiving the Work Gloves from the doctor, cut the tree southeast of Spring Hill with the Saw and visit the underground researcher.
- Listen to the news that the Wine is ready to upgrade the Wine sold in shops. The price stays 25 Kuri, while healing increases from 3 to 6.
- If Healing Wine remains in the bottle, use it before refilling. You cannot buy another bottle to carry 2 at once.
The spring festival after the bell rings
- Progress to the stage where you charge through Delarin's barrier hole. After the bell heralding spring rings, losing that battle lets you return to the kingdom in spring.
- Visit Gerobeppu Hot Springs to see the residents' spring festival. After seeing the event, return to the palace boss room and resume the barrier fight.
- If you deliberately lose to see it, check your Diary slot and progress first.
Use the Diary and newspaper to check your next objective
Select Read diary in the Diary to review past events, and check town wall newspapers for story changes. If the elder's spell or gold-mine hiring will not progress, check whether you skipped signs, the noticeboard or conversations.
