Check material names together with the work area
These are base outputs for the original PC game, excluding additional production from perks. English names are for searching and comparison. Distinguish new builds from upgrades, and small inventory pieces from large raw materials you carry.
Wide tables scroll horizontally.
| What to distinguish | How to check |
|---|---|
| Log/Wood billet/Flitch/Wooden plank | Logs, billets, flitch and planks are different items; appearance alone does not make them interchangeable |
| Simple iron parts/Complex iron parts | Compare the English names of Simple iron parts and Complex iron parts |
| A piece of stone / large stone block | Workstation recipes may require a number of small pieces |
| Workyard/Alchemy Lab/Church | Check the construction location and material-storage area |

Build the first workshop stations in order
Wide tables scroll horizontally.
| What to build | Technology / tool prerequisites | Materials for a new build | Location / action | What it produces |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sawhorse | Sawing; place logs in the timber stockpile | Wooden stick 10 | Select it at the Workyard blueprint desk, place it and complete the construction work | Flitch、Wood billet |
| Chopping spot | Firewood | Wood billet 5 | Place in the Workyard | Firewood、Wood wedge |
| Wooden anvil | Primitive Forging | Wood billet 2+Simple iron parts 2 | Place in the Workyard | Nails、Simple iron parts |
| Furnace | Iron; prepare fuel separately | Flitch 4+A piece of stone 14+Simple iron parts 4 | Place in the Workyard and finish construction | Iron ingots, unlocked glass and other recipes |
| Carpenter’s workbench | Woodworking | Flitch 5+Simple iron parts 2 | Place in the Workyard | Wooden planks and wooden grave decorations |
| Stone cutter | Stoneworking | Flitch 4+Nails 4 | Place in the Workyard | Stone processing and unlocked basic gravestones |

Selecting a structure at the blueprint desk does not finish construction. Complete the work until it is usable, checking your hammer, energy and access path. Reserving starting parts rather than spending them all on decorations helps establish self-sufficiency.

From logs to planks and fuel
Wide tables scroll horizontally.
| Desired item | Required workstation | Materials per operation → base output | Processing action | Used for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Flitch | Sawhorse | Log 1→Flitch 6 | Store the log in the Timber stockpile, select Flitch and work | Construction materials for the Furnace and workstations; raw material for planks |
| Wood billet | Sawhorse | Log 1→Wood billet 4 | Select a different recipe from Flitch | Chopping spot, Wooden anvil and cremation site |
| Firewood | Chopping spot | Wood billet 1→Firewood 10 | Convert it to fuel separately at the Furnace or Oven | Fuel for processing equipment |
| Wood wedge | Chopping spot | Wood billet 1→Wood wedge 10 | Reserve enough for the required passage repairs first | Clearing obstructions and other uses |
| Wooden plank | Carpenter’s workbench | Flitch 1→Wooden plank 1 | Process only the number of planks needed | Wooden fences, crosses and church benches |
No matching entries in this table. Shorten the query or clear it to restore all entries.
Example: for 6 planks at base output, turn 1 log into 6 Flitch, then process these into planks in 6 operations. This is a material conversion, not a shortest-time calculation including work energy or construction costs.

From iron ore to Simple iron parts and Nails
Wide tables scroll horizontally.
| Desired item | Prerequisite | Checked materials / fuel | Action | Confirmation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Furnace fuel | A completed Furnace | 10 Wooden sticks → 20 fuel; 10 Firewood → 90 fuel | Add it through the fuel tab and check the remaining amount | Check whether processing stopped because you added only the raw material |
| Iron ingot | Furnace / Iron technology | 1 Iron ore + 25 fuel → 1 Iron ingot | Queue the smelting, wait for completion and collect the result | Do not confuse ore with finished iron |
| Simple iron parts | Wooden anvil | Iron ingot1→Simple iron parts4 | Select the parts recipe and work manually | Reserve the required amounts for the Furnace and Carpenter's workbench |
| Nails | Wooden anvil | Iron ingot1→Nails8 | Select the Nails recipe and work manually | Do not count the same Iron ingot toward both parts and nails |

Even without iron ore at this stage, you can buy finished iron or parts from Krezvold in the village to restart production. Check prices against the shop's current state; this guide does not guarantee a fixed purchase price for your budget.

Metal processing for the Church workbench
Wide tables scroll horizontally.
| What to build | Technology / workstation prerequisites | Materials | Action / location | Next use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Anvil, not the Wooden anvil | Unlock the Anvil blueprint in the technology tree | New build: 4 Iron ingots | Place it through the Workyard blueprint desk | Make Complex iron parts |
| Complex iron parts | Anvil and the relevant processing recipe | 1 Iron ingot + 1 Simple iron part → 2 pieces | Work manually at the metal Anvil | Church workbench and Confessional |
| Church workbench | Access to the church cellar; Paper Crafting | Flitch9+Nails10+Complex iron parts4 | Place through the Alchemy Lab blueprint desk | Pigskin paper、Clean paper |
| Existing Study table | Access to the church and cellar | No new-build materials are needed for the initial table | Find and use the table in the cellar | Research; avoid unnecessary dismantling |

Make Science from paper
Wide tables scroll horizontally.
| What to build | Prerequisite | Materials → output | Work location | What to check |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pigskin paper | Paper Crafting and the materials | Skin1→Pigskin paper4 | Church workbench | Removing skin from a corpse intended for burial changes its rating |
| Clean paper | Make Pigskin paper | Pigskin paper1→Clean paper4 | Church workbench | This is the processed form needed at the Study table |
| Science | Bring Clean paper | Clean paper1→Science2 | Decomposition at the Study table | Science increases as a resource stored in the table |
| A blue-technology-point study example | Unstudied Fat or Flesh | Select 1 unstudied item. Use 1 Faith and 1 Science to obtain 20 blue points. | Complete the study at the Study table | Only the first study of that item type. Collect the reward and open technologies. |

Graveyard repairs and limits after placement
Wide tables scroll horizontally.
| What to build | Required technology / workstation | Materials | Effect / action | Caution |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wooden marker | Relevant grave-decoration technology / Sawhorse | Flitch2+Nails1 | A basic grave marker; decoration value 1 | Carry the finished item to the grave. This is separate from repairing the outer graveyard fence. |
| Wooden cross | Simple Gravestones branch / Carpenter's workbench | Wooden plank1+Nails1 | Place in the grave-marker slot; decoration value 2 | The rating cannot exceed the corpse's white-skull limit |
| Wooden grave fence | Wooden-fence recipe / Carpenter's workbench | Wooden plank1 | Place around an individual grave; decoration value 1 | Not the outer fence surrounding the whole graveyard |
| Basic Gravestone | Relevant gravestone technology / Stone cutter | A piece of stone2 | Place in the grave-marker slot; decoration value 2 | Building a Stone cutter alone may not unlock the recipe on the theology branch |
| Repair kits | Distinguish wooden and stone kits and the damaged target | Check quantities in the current recipe display | Select the damaged decoration and repair it | Sources disagree on recipe quantities. Also check the prerequisite for clay used in stone kits. |

A grave's rating is not simply the sum of its decoration values. Red skulls, decay and the white-skull limit also matter, so check the actual grave value before and after replacement.

Examples of additional church-quality and cremation structures
Wide tables scroll horizontally.
| What to add | Prerequisite / location | Materials | Actual use | If it does not work |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Church bench | Relevant church-furniture technology / Church | Wooden plank6+Nails4 | Permanent furniture adding 1 church quality | Place inside the church, not in the Alchemy Lab |
| Confessional | Relevant church-furniture technology / Church | Wooden plank12+Complex iron parts4 | Adds 5 church quality | If locked, return to the technology and metal-processing requirements first |
| Place for burning corpses | Unlock Cremation / cremation area south of the morgue | Wood billet8 | Place and cremate a corpse; one way to obtain a Burial certificate | The site is consumed after one use. Repeating the process requires more materials. |

Trace a stalled processing chain back one step at a time
Wide tables scroll horizontally.
| Symptom | Possible cause | Where to return | Action to resume |
|---|---|---|---|
| You have logs but 0 Flitch | They are not in the designated timber stockpile | Timber stockpile | Carry and store them → work at the Sawhorse |
| The Furnace has raw materials but will not run | No fuel, production not queued, or construction incomplete | Furnace status / fuel tab | Finish construction, then select fuel and smelting separately |
| You ran out of Simple iron parts | You spent the starting supply elsewhere | Wooden anvil or Krezvold | Resume by buying or processing 1 Iron ingot |
| Complex iron parts are not listed | You are using the Wooden anvil / recipe not unlocked | Anvil blueprint and technology | Switch to the metal Anvil and check its processing options |
| You lack cellar construction materials | They are still in workyard storage | Workyard → Alchemy Lab | Move them to your inventory and carry them there |
| Changing the gravestone did not improve the rating | Corpse limit, red skulls or decay | The grave's details screen | Compare the corpse display before mass-producing decorations |

Before dismantling and rebuilding equipment, check inputs, fuel, materials, location and technology in that order to avoid spending construction materials again.
Frequently asked questions
I built the workstation, but the recipe is missing
The technology for building a station may differ from the technology for its products. Check whether the target item is unlocked in the technology tree.
The required quantities differ from the Wiki
Compare new construction versus upgrades, workstation tiers and perks. This guide also leaves disputed quantities, such as repair-kit recipes, unconfirmed and prioritizes the actual recipe display.
Must I carry every material?
Some materials can be used from storage within the same work area. However, do not assume distant areas such as the workyard and church cellar share all storage; carry construction materials between them.
DLC equipment is missing from the table
This table focuses on early base-game processing chains. It gives a manual progression order without assuming paid-DLC workstations or zombie automation.
