Before starting the case
- Advance the story and visit Jacob's hut in The Dark Woods during Hungry the Hunter.
- Accept The Flesh is Weak through conversation to investigate Ben's whereabouts and track the quest.
- Inspect the hut's furs, blade, meat, and other objects, then pick up the rope on the barrel near the entrance.
Investigate beyond the fog
- Head toward the cliff outside the hut and use the rope to descend.
- Switch to Antea in the fog. Continue, destroy the object producing it, and defeat enemies.
- Check the ritual-site display, gather required materials, and perform Harkening.
- Use the revealed event as a clue to inspect the riverside body and compare it with Jacob's account.
Follow on-screen ritual-material requirements. This is not a guaranteed table of every material quantity or collection route.
Return to the hut and judge
- Return and inspect the bowl and spoon anchoring the ghost.
- Perform the Make-Manifest ritual and hear Ben's account.
- Understand both the living and the ghost before concluding the case. Read the choice's target and consider consistency with your oath.
Every subsequent main quest, regional case, and chest is not included. Coverage is limited to avoid treating the old article's suspected invented case list as a full walkthrough.
