| Situation | First thing to try | Caution |
|---|---|---|
| Close-range combat | Red's sword attacks and dodges | Stop mashing when an enemy's windup appears. |
| Distant target | Aim with the rifle if available | Watch nearby enemies while aiming too. |
| Spiritual traces or fog | Switch to Antea's viewpoint | Finding traces differs from performing a ritual. |
| Impassable terrain | Check unlocked abilities and usage points | Do not assume any wall or valley can be crossed freely. |

Checks before choosing an upgrade
- Open descriptions for currently equipped weapons/abilities and read activation conditions.
- Choose one attack you use often and prioritize effects that work with it.
- If you cannot confirm a build's effects activate, do not judge power by simply adding multipliers.
- Review healing and gear before a boss and avoid plans requiring unlearned abilities.
Avoid confusing terms
Read case-resolution Banish separately from combat moves or gauges according to where it appears. Case banishment counts cannot simply become weapon-upgrade requirements or resurrection materials.
Old entries such as spirit-talisman traps, chain claws, and possession were removed because their current in-game names and effects could not be matched.
Frequently asked questions
Does this list values for every ability?
No. Unconfirmed move names and multipliers are excluded; coverage here is limited to basic distinctions in their use.
Which character should I prioritize upgrading?
Do not assume you will use only one. Choose after checking your frequently used weapons and spiritual abilities needed for exploration.
