Shooting a water balloon is separate from taking a photograph. Burst the monkey-shaped balloons and water dry plants until their leaves recover. The numbers below identify this checklist's entries; they are not fixed in-game numbers.
All 11 hidden balloons in Basto
Basto's Hidden Balloons begins when you arrive on the island. It can be progressed by day or night, and bursting the eleventh balloon awards the stamp. Adjust camera rotation and height before aiming at distant islands or tower tops.

The gardener's first plant plus the remaining ten
Start Dry Season after reviving the dry plant beside the gardener with two water-balloon hits. There are 11 locations including that plant. Finish the remaining ten and report to the gardener; do not count the starting plant again as an extra location.

Area-by-area checks for missed collectibles
Check balloons and plants together as you tour the entrance and jet-ski beach, camp, painter and palace, circus and cinema, bamboo grove and cave, then the ghost gathering. This is a checklist route, not a map reproducing distances between areas.
Finally return to the gardener to report Dry Season. For balloons, check the card when all 11 have burst. If your count is short, check the gardener's first plant and the balloon behind the cinema platform separately.
