Celeste: 32 Steam achievement requirements
Checked: 2026-10-02 / Standard PC/Steam game and Farewell. Checked against the official changelog through the listed v1.4.1.0 notes. Mods and platform-specific achievements are excluded.
Work separately on the main story's summit, blue hearts, B-Sides, and extra collectibles. Collecting every golden strawberry or finishing with zero deaths is not required to unlock all 32 Steam achievements. Chapter 8's A-Side is included in the blue-heart achievements and is not counted twice.
Start with unfinished goals
- First, climb through Chapter 7's A-Side. Work on the 7 main-story entries among the 8 chapter-completion achievements and collect strawberries within reach. Finding a cassette opens another B-Side.
- Check blue hearts and each chapter's B-Side. The 8 blue-heart achievements and 8 B-Side achievements are separate. A red heart from completing a B-Side does not substitute for a blue-heart achievement.
- Progress from Core to C-Sides. First aim to complete Chapter 8's B-Side, then check whether C-Sides are available in Chapter Select. Thanks For Playing requires completing every C-Side in Chapters 1–8.
- Check collection achievements separately. 30, 80, and 175 are total-strawberry goals. 1UP requires collecting 6 together; Wow requires a particular hidden collectible.
- Finish Farewell and the hidden challenges. Completing Chapter 9 and collecting the Moon Berry are separate goals. Even if the chapter has appeared, the heart gate partway through still has requirements.
A-Sides and story progression (8 achievements)

Three easily confused goals
1UP!: Collect 6 strawberries together
Have 6 strawberries follow behind you before securing them, then collect them together rather than securing them one by one in safe places. Choose a route that avoids securing them along the way. This is not a feature that reduces deaths.
Real Gamer: Finish the hidden PICO-8 game
Launch the hidden game in Chapter 3 and reach the summit inside it. Merely completing Chapter 3 in the main game or launching the hidden game does not fulfill this goal.
Wow: A hidden collectible separate from Farewell completion
After breaking the generator near Farewell's end, take the hidden route back to the left instead of the normal exit to pursue the Moon Berry. More rooms follow, so distinguish passing the final room from collecting the actual berry.
Frequently asked questions
Q. Do I need golden strawberries to unlock every achievement?
None of Steam's 32 achievements requires golden strawberries. The 175-strawberry achievement, Moon Berry, and all C-Sides are separate goals.
Q. I cannot find a Chapter 8 completion achievement
Heart of the Mountain corresponds to collecting the blue heart in Chapter 8's A-Side. Since collecting the heart is this chapter's A-Side completion point, it is not counted again as a separate Chapter 8 A-Side achievement.
Q. Does reaching the main story's summit unlock all 32 achievements?
Reaching the summit fulfills Celeste. The 8 blue-heart achievements, 8 B-Sides, all C-Sides, extra collectibles, Chapter 9, and other goals remain. Use the four categories above to find unfinished objectives.
Q. Does a lower unlock rate mean a harder achievement?
An unlock rate is the share of Steam users who had unlocked it at the time checked, not a direct measure of control difficulty or time required. This page organizes goals by their actual requirements and what you can work on next.
Supplementary data: 2026-08-15 Steam unlock-rate snapshot
Achievements: 32; at least 50% unlocked: 4; below 10%: 4. Minimum: 6.6%; maximum: 70.7%; median: 19.2%。
Previously retrieved statistics are retained with their date. They are not current percentages or measurements of control difficulty or time required.
Scope of verification
The source review checked the 32 names in Steam's official list and cross-referenced guide material for requirements hidden in the official descriptions. The precise trigger for C-Sides appearing still awaits comparison with additional independent material. Platform-specific achievement totals, mods, every blue-heart solution, all strawberry locations, and hands-on verification of every unlock are outside this guide's scope.
