Backpack Battles Walkthrough: Decisions Throughout a Run
Shop offers change every run. Instead of a fixed purchase chart, this guide gives an order of checks for each shop that remains useful even when the named item does not appear.
At the start
- Read the starting bag’s description.
- Balance immediate strength against bag expansion in your first purchases.
- Even when pursuing a recipe, prioritize ingredients that function in the current fight.
Mid-run
- Check damage sources, healing and stamina exhaustion in the combat log.
- Choose the subclass option that fits your existing main items and placement.
- Sell items outside your main direction and concentrate gold on rerolls and finishing components.
Late run
- Do not add new unfinished synergies.
- Check that raising attack speed alone has not exhausted stamina.
- According to the opponents you encounter, address shortages in debuff resistance, survival or speed one at a time.
The flow of a run
| Shop | Buy items and place them inside the bag. Put items that do not fit in storage, and drag unwanted items to the treasure chest to sell them. |

| Reserve and reroll | Click a price tag or right-click to reserve an item. A reroll costs 1 gold; reserved items remain until you release them. |
| Placement check | Check bag ranges, stars and arrows, stamina and recipe candidates before entering combat. |
| Automatic combat | Fight using the effects of items placed in your bag. Return to the shop after the result and check the combat log. |
| Win and loss conditions | Continue through wins and losses: 10 wins completes the run; 5 losses ends it. |
