Chavez's Temple: make a circuit from in front of the tablet

Travel toward the southeastern light aboard Bragg's ship. On temple 1F, descend the central stairs and check the healing spring on B1. Take north at the B1 fork, west on B2, then pass B3 to reach the B4 tablet.

1. Start on the floor directly in front of the tablet after reading it. Count each floor tile as 1 step rather than running through and losing count.
2. Walk in order: down 8, left 7, up 6, right 5, down 1, left 2, up 3, right 4. Do not speak to the tablet along the way.
3. Confirm you have returned to the starting tile, then examine the tablet again. Check acquisition of the Ark of Power and the release of 4 chests.

• Coordinates are a check calculation for this page, not an in-game display. They are relative, with right as positive x and down as positive y.
• Read colors using Japanese SFC controller positions: yellow B = down, green Y = left, blue X = up, red A = right.
• If unsuccessful, do not append movements from your current position. Return to the tablet's front and repeat the full route. Reset behavior from repeating the walk is unverified on hardware.

Line up 5 cakes along the lower wall

This concerns the first cave's 5 cakes, initially arranged 2 above, 1 in the center and 2 below. It is separate from the later 3-cake exit-blocking puzzle.

1. Of the 2 upper cakes, push the left one to the western wall. Go above it and push south to the bottom wall. This becomes the row's left end.
2. Push the upper-right cake to the eastern wall, go above it and push south to the bottom wall. This forms the right end.
3. Push the initially lower-left cake down next to the left-end cake. Push the lower-right cake down next to the right-end cake too.
4. Push the central cake down into the row's middle gap. Check that all 5 touch in one row and the row touches the walls at both ends.
5. Return to the upper tablet and examine it. Choose 1 reward from a toy, clothing, hat or sweets.

• This pushing order is one procedure built from 2 sources' successful layouts and initial-layout records. No hardware input retest was performed. Precise cake movement counts are not guaranteed.
• If stuck, stop forcing pushes and check that leaving/re-entering restores the initial layout before restarting. Restoration on re-entry itself has not been retested.
• Rewards: toy = Tin Glove; clothing = Cotton Robe; hat = Pointed Hat; sweets = Herb Cookie. This does not obtain every reward simultaneously.

Use 3 cakes to prevent movement on the entrance side

Covers the northwestern cake room among the 4 mechanisms beyond the milk-tea exchange.

1. Move 3 cakes toward the entrance. Cover the passage with 1 and pack the other 2 side by side to its left.
2. Check whether the cake in front of the entrance can be pushed sideways to open an escape gap. Merely placing it at the entrance is insufficient.
3. Examine the tablet again. Success releases the mechanism and sends you to another room. Identify the destination by its question rather than compass direction.

• The 3-cake layout and success condition were compared against source text and screens. The shortest pushing order from each initial position is unverified.

Answers to questions and returning to the central tablet

1. Choose "2:05" when asked about the distance between clock hands. Read the question before choosing even after transfer from a solved cake mechanism.
2. Choose "topaz" when asked which item sells for the highest price at the item shop.
3. Finish the 2 cake rooms and 2 question rooms, then examine the central tablet. Advance through the opened passage, examine the chests and put Candy in the bottle.
4. Before speaking to the child who returns you to the entrance, check desired chests and bottle contents.

• Fixed southwest/southeast labels for the question rooms are not used because sources disagree.
• Check the deeper left/right chests in pairs. Records say opening one also empties the other. Receiving the contents of all 6 chests is not guaranteed.
