Updated

Keep runs stable by managing reserves, eggs and status removal rather than relying on a single character.

Explore with a rotation

Treat recruitment and switching as resources.

Steps and checks
  1. Before recruiting, check the space occupied by both characters and eggs.
  2. Thin enemies with a familiar attack, then test another character in a safer encounter.
  3. Consider switching before losing a vulnerable character; do not assume reserves gain experience identically.
  4. Before retirement, verify who remains: relinquishing the last character leaves no one to continue.

Handle status effects deliberately

After using a cure, verify the result in the character's displayed state.

Steps and checks
Tool or situationDecision
Blue pillUse the opportunity on the character that needs status removal.
Blue well waterCheck the resulting health and status before leaving.
Cure effectsCheck the target rather than assuming the whole party is cured.
Unfamiliar itemInspect possible self-damage and attack changes as well as benefits.

Priorities inside a room

Picking up, throwing and shooting do not leave every attack available at once.

Steps and checks
  1. When carrying a throwable, check the loss of ordinary shooting; throw it before resuming fire if needed.
  2. Test special abilities safely. Gummsel's bubbles can help manage projectiles as well as enemies.
  3. Compare cheese reserves with the build's weakness before buying unfamiliar goods.

Know when to stop exploring

Remaining in a room is not always beneficial.
