Combine conversation knowledge to investigate a train. Cards open connections between people and topics rather than forming a combat deck.
The investigation loop
After gaining knowledge, distinguish revisiting its source from presenting it to another passenger.
Steps and checks
- Speak to the available passengers and gather cards about people, objects and events.
- Present a new person card to passengers connected to that person.
- Try combining topics that point toward the same event in the past.
- If dialogue stalls, seek a missing topic from another person or book before returning.

The following contains solutions. If a card is missing, first advance its related conversation.

| Old Woman with Celestial Conjunction | This leads toward Immortality; learning a topic does not mean it must be disclosed to everyone. |
When the orphan's door blocks you
Reveal solutions / spoilers
Check the combination of clues from other passengers instead of guessing numbers.
- Gather the Bottles lead from the Judge and the Needles lead from the Old Woman.
- Try the Bottles and Needles connection at the orphan's door, and check the Password topic.
- Use Apothecary as an opening with the Orphan, then follow leads to the book and suspicious objects.
Keep track of consequential choices
Acquiring knowledge and telling someone about it are separate choices.
