Collect mushrooms in each area for Toph. Hat changing becomes available after giving all nine. English names are included; correspondence with current Japanese UI translations is uncertified.
Five types on the ground, in the swamp and cave
Check the destination's height before delivering. Separate the conversation handing over a received letter from the conversation accepting the next request.

Four types at houses, high ground and bamboo grove
Check the destination's height before delivering. Separate the conversation handing over a received letter from the conversation accepting the next request.

Give all nine and change hats
Return to Toph and give the collected mushrooms. You can then change hats at the surrounding mushrooms. After the final high-ground mushroom, do not proceed straight toward Greg.
- Check uncollected names in the request list.
- Return to ground level after the updraft detour.
- Report collection in conversation with Toph.
- Try changing hats at nearby mushrooms.
