Starting conditions and objective

Reach Rocks Island and advance Terrorizing Bird with the NPC inside the shop. Prepare a ranged weapon, ammunition, and fish for healing.

  1. Separate Tuna from healing supplies before summoning
  2. Take cover during attacks and shoot between them
  3. Collect the Head and deliver it to the NPC

From the Rocks shop to catching Tuna

Buy a Professional Boss Lure at this island's shop. The August 27 guide lists $1,200 each; this is not a current price checked through gameplay. Distinguish it from the ordinary Professional Lure, and secure weapon ammunition and healing fish separately before fishing.

The published default PC controls have you hold bait and ready the rod, press B to attach bait, right-click to cast, and left-click to reel. These references cover 1.01–1.0.5, so use the corresponding action if you changed bindings. Dodge the caught Tuna's leap sideways and defeat it with a ranged weapon. Keep its carcass for the next summon.

Prepare cover before defeating Tuna

At Rocks, use the Professional Boss Lure to target Tuna. A 1.1.2 analysis report also lists a low Tuna chance for the ordinary Professional Lure, but the Boss version is clearer when preparing for one specific target. This guide does not claim the ordinary version can never catch it.

Keep the shop hut available as cover and put healing fish separately from Tuna. Do not sell, cook, or eat Tuna; save it to summon the next boss. A solo-run report says that if you lost health fighting Tuna, picking up and holding the carcass immediately after the kill lets you heal without rushing the summon. This is an example of creating a safer opportunity, not a guarantee of the current grace period in seconds.

Do not let Albatross escape

Heal and reload before placing Tuna on dry ground near the hut. When the bird arrives, briefly peek out to shoot, using roof and walls to block distant falling objects and close-range charges. Do not stand in a dive's path; shoot again after its attack passes and it turns back.

Watch more than HP here. When the white escape gauge below HP runs out, Albatross disappears without counting as defeated. You need another Tuna for the next attempt. Hiding indoors continuously can fail even with healing supplies left, so repeat “hide during the attack, shoot after it passes.” Judge completion by whether you can collect Albatross Head, rather than by the bird disappearing. Give the Head to the island's quest NPC to unlock the route to Volcano.
