🔱 Blessings explained

Halls of Torment | Ten examples of permanent blessings, rather than a complete list.

📖 How blessings work

Blessings are permanent upgrades unlocked through quests and purchased with Gold at the camp’s Shrine of Blessings. They are separate from run-specific traits, equipment and potions.

💡 Investment examples by situation

When attacks fall behind

Read which attacks Damage, Attack Speed and Attack Range affect. A direct-damage bonus does not necessarily apply identically to every aspect of Burn or Spark.

When contact or projectiles drain health

Compare the current values for Health Capacity, Defense and Health Regeneration, and review attacks you can evade by moving. An automatically invulnerable barrier is not guaranteed.

Supporting movement and later runs

Compare Movement Speed, Pickup Range and Gold against your objective. Increasing pickup range does not make entering a dense crowd safe.

❓ FAQ
How are blessings unlocked?

Quests unlock the Shrine of Blessings and individual blessings, then Gold purchases permanent upgrades. The initial shrine unlock is Obolus, requiring 300 Gold collected in total. Blessings differ from run-specific traits and equipment placed in slots.

What should I invest in first?

Match the investment to your failure: Movement Speed when trapped, or applicable Damage and Attack Speed when attacks fall behind. Gold is unlocked by Elite Slayer I. Check unfinished quest requirements first.

Should offense or defense come first?

Distinguish failing to kill enemies from losing health to contact or projectiles. Compare Defense, Health Capacity and Health Regeneration with offensive upgrades that apply to your main weapon, rather than using one universal ranking.

Can I change my investment?

Blessing investments can be refunded and adjusted. Check the cost and refund shown in the current menu; this is not a system for equipping a limited hand of blessing cards.
