Tartarus: avoid traps and projectiles together

  1. On entering, locate floor traps and pillars. Do not chase enemies onto trap triggers.
  2. When ranged and approaching enemies overlap, reposition around pillars or other cover.
  3. Armored enemies resist interruption. Check other enemies' lines of fire before moving behind one.
  4. In Sisyphus's NPC room, choose immediate healing, Obols or Darkness according to your goal. If an escape attempt leaves you near death, healing can take priority over retained resources.

The Fury sisters: attack after the wind-up

Opponent / actionHow to avoid itAttack opening
Megaera's lungeMove sideways once she has committed to a direction. After the lunge ends and she stops.
Projectiles and circular area attacksMove through gaps and leave marked areas underfoot.Use a short attack after avoiding the marker.
Reinforcements and invulnerabilityStop wasting attacks on the invulnerable boss; remove troublesome reinforcements. After the boss's invulnerability ends.
Alecto's follow-upsWatch her Rage and moving attack zones.Counter after evading the follow-up.
Tisiphone's shrinking arenaMake space while watching her direction as escape room decreases.Circle around before being pinned against a wall.
  • Other sisters appear over repeated runs. Extreme Measures 1 adds assistance from the other sisters, so it differs from the normal one-on-one fight.

Asphodel: move from lava onto land

  1. Plan Dashes to end on land. Do not stop on lava to attack.
  2. When falling-enemy shadows or explosion circles appear, leave your position and attack after the landing.
  3. Avoid petrifying projectiles. Move before firing lines overlap so another enemy cannot follow up while you are immobilized.
  4. In Eurydice's NPC room, check your boon count and intended upgrade slots. Ambrosia Delight raises the rarity of 2 boons; Pom Porridge raises levels on up to 4; Refreshing Nectar improves the rarity of the next 3 boons.

Bone Hydra: remove heads to end invulnerability

  1. Read the main head's slam and ranged wind-ups, then counter from outside their reach.
  2. When the main head becomes invulnerable, switch to the additional heads. Attacking only the main head will not advance this phase.
  3. There are 3 additional heads first, then 5. Clear them one area at a time to reduce overlapping projectiles and falling attacks.
  4. Once all additional heads are defeated and the main head is vulnerable again, use your Call or main attack. Do not spend major attacks during invulnerability.
  • Head types change projectiles and other attacks. Extreme Measures 2 also changes the platforms, so check safe land first.

Elysium: kill the souls after breaking Armor

  1. After defeating a warrior, pursue its soul. It can rearm and force another fight, so finish it while avoiding other enemies.
  2. Attack Shieldbearers from behind rather than into their frontal defense. When circling one among several enemies, avoid crossing another enemy's firing line.
  3. Do not leave pursuing chariots or butterfly sources unchecked. Deal with the large butterfly orb or pursuing group to open a safe route.
  4. If Patroclus appears, choose a Death Defiance refill when revives are depleted, healing when Life is short, or attack support when comfortable.

Theseus and Asterius: separate attack directions

  1. If targeting Asterius first, keep away from Theseus and draw the Bull toward the arena's outside edge.
  2. The Bull can follow up after an axe swing. Wait through the leap and landing, then counter in the opening. Lead his charge into pillars or similar obstacles.
  3. When Theseus aims at you, move sideways out of the spear's line. Do not focus exclusively on hitting the Bull.
  4. Do not keep attacking Theseus's shield from the front. Time attacks for actions that expose his back, such as his walk after throwing the spear.
  5. When Theseus loses enough Life to call for divine aid, avoid marked ground attacks. Wait for transition invulnerability to end before using a Call or Companion.
  • The miniboss room with the Bull alone is separate from this two-boss encounter. That distinction matters for the fists' hidden-Aspect dialogue.

Styx: prioritize poison cures and the sack

  1. Choose among the 5 central tunnels by reward and risk. Continue to the final room of a tunnel and collect its reward.
  2. On entering a small room, locate its poison-curing pools. After Satyr poison shots or rat poison pools hit you, cure yourself before continuing to attack.
  3. Avoid laser and blade lines; do not stand near walls for long. After curing poison, avoid returning to the same poisonous position.
  4. At the endpoint containing the sack, collect it and use the fountain, then return to Cerberus in the center. Giving him the sack lets you proceed.
  5. Remaining tunnels offer optional upgrades. Compare extra rewards with the Life and revives they may cost; completing every tunnel is not required to escape.
  • The sack is not assigned here to a fixed door, reward or tunnel order. Butterfly/plume bonus rules differ from Pom Blossom's counter: small rooms do not all count alike.

Final battle: watch skull waves and the second Life bar

  1. When the boss vanishes, stop committing long attacks at the current position. Check the direction of reappearance and your surroundings.
  2. Read the broad spear spin's wind-up and leave its reach. Do not rush head-on into attacks that change direction.
  3. Launched skulls emit waves after a delay. Destroy them or watch the wave and Dash through it. Also watch the extra damage taken while a skull is lodged in you.
  4. Do not spend a major Call or Companion while the boss is invisible and unhittable. Reduce reinforcements first, then track both attack directions after the boss reappears.
  5. Depleting the first Life bar does not end the normal fight. Check remaining revives and major attacks for phase 2.
  6. Use rocks and other cover against phase 2 beams. Pots can bind you and add danger: decide where to break them and where to move away.
  • The extra phase in Extreme Measures 4 is separate from the normal fight and is not folded into this first-escape guide. Enemy Life and exact attack-damage tables await version checks.

Prepare before challenging Charon

  1. Distinguish ordinary purchases from interacting with the Obol bag. Taking the bag starts a fight with Charon.
  2. Read the broad sweeps and wave lines; attempt it with consecutive Dashes and revives available.
  3. Victory gives a Loyalty Card for discounts during that run. This detour is optional when prioritizing your first escape.
