DUNGEON CLAWLER / WALKTHROUGH
📋 Run walkthrough and decision order
Rooms and rewards change each run, so this guide follows a decision order you can use at any branch rather than prescribing an item to buy on every floor. It does not give fixed builds, required budgets or boss patterns whose values cannot be confirmed.
Scope: PC/Steam 1.1.2. Checked 2026-10-02 (JST) against official updates and player sources. These build suggestions are not ranked by measured win rates.
How to progress through a run
- 1
Before starting: choose one goal
Decide whether you are aiming for a normal clear, a character unlock, Debt Level progress or an achievement.
Check: On an unlock attempt, keep purchases aligned with the unlock condition rather than shopping only to win.
- 2
Early run: secure attacks and defense
Build around the attack items you find first, keeping shields and healing for the enemy’s next attack.
Check: Check whether the claw can collect the item you want, including its size and material.
- 3
Branches and rooms: review your deck’s roles
In shops, choose items that support your main plan or cover a weakness. Upgrade key items at the Blacksmith and remove unused items at the Shredder.
Check: A larger deck can mean more turns when you cannot collect the item you need.
- 4
Mid-run: balance your win condition with survival
Lean into a plan where the character’s ability and the items you actually find overlap, such as Poison, Metal, Spikes or Block.
Check: Check whether you can survive a turn when your main effect does not trigger.
- 5
Late run: check consecutive fights and branches
Distinguish a normal clear from a secret unlock attempt. At the floor-20 branch, check that you meet your chosen route’s conditions.
Check: At Debt Level 20, normal bosses from floor 8 onward come in 2 consecutive fights. Do not spend all your resources on the first.
Before dropping the claw in combat
- Check the enemy’s next action and your remaining health.
- Decide whether this turn needs attacks, Block and healing, or status effects.
- Control the claw after checking your target’s position, nearby items, material and size.
- Account for the damage you could take if you miss. If that is dangerous, prioritize a safer item.
Special claws such as Magnet, Harpoon and Propeller differ in what they collect and how they handle. Check character abilities alongside these decisions.
Bosses added in version 1.0
These boss names are confirmed in the full-release patch notes. This list does not establish a fixed appearance order, weakness or number of actions.
- Smeltor
- Mama Creampuff
- Giant Plant Slime
- Giant Ice Slime
- Giant Lava Slime
Before a boss, prioritize keeping ways to survive the next enemy action as well as your main attack items.
Floor 20 and Debt Levels
The left and right branches on floor 20 serve different goals. The left leads toward unlocking Hare L. Quinn; the right leads toward an additional boss after you have assembled specific items. If you lack the requirements, plan to collect the items or work on the unlock in your next run.
Debt Levels unlock progressively as you complete runs. Check your defense and healing by mid-run to prepare for added restrictions from Level 10 and the 2 consecutive normal-boss fights from floor 8 at Level 20. The conditions added at each level are listed in Debt Levels 1–20.
