DUNGEON CLAWLER / DEBT LEVELS

Debt Levels 1–20: modifiers and responses

Debt Level penalties accumulate as you progress. Find the level causing trouble and decide what to prioritize next run. These values were compared against historical play records; if the current game display differs, use the in-game values.

Scope: PC/Steam 1.1.2. Checked 2026-10-02 (JST) against official updates and player sources. These build suggestions are not ranked by measured win rates.

Checks before an attempt

  1. Use the table below to check the new condition at your level. Earlier penalties remain at higher levels.
  2. Use the opening fights to judge whether damage, healing or Block runs short first.
  3. When room prices rise, use only the upgrades, removals or transmutations your plan needs.
  4. At Level 20, build to last through the later consecutive fights rather than one burst-damage victory.

Work on Level 10 and 20 achievements together

The Steam achievements “Payback” and “All In” require completing a run at Debt Level 10 and 20 respectively. Track them separately from character completion achievements. Check unfinished conditions in the achievement list. Choosing only compatible goals while raising Debt Level can reduce extra runs.

For boss fights and the floor-20 branch, see the Run walkthrough; for a build suited to your character, see the build guide.
