ABOUT

What is Dicey Dungeons?

A fast-paced deckbuilding roguelite in which you become a walking die and battle through an ever-changing dungeon. You assign rolled dice to equipment to attack or heal, making the allocation of each roll your decision every turn. Choose from six characters—Warrior, Thief, Robot, Jester, Inventor and Witch—each with completely different rules. The Thief steals enemy equipment, the Robot generates dice through a blackjack-style game of chance, and the Inventor destroys equipment to make gadgets. Created by Terry Cavanagh of Super Hexagon and VVVVVV. The source's August 2026 Steam snapshot records over 11,000 reviews and a Very Positive rating. Japanese is supported.

🔑 Key Points

1. Assign dice to equipment to fight

Place rolled dice into equipment to activate its effects. You cannot choose the rolls themselves, so deciding how to allocate them becomes the strategy.

2. Six characters change the rules

Warrior, Thief, Robot, Jester, Inventor and Witch. The official description explains that the Thief steals enemy equipment, the Robot generates dice by pushing its luck, and the Inventor destroys equipment to make gadgets.

3. Plan around luck

The official description explicitly says that luck may not be on your side. Preparing a setup that still works with bad rolls is the key to improving.

4. Episodes

Each character has several episodes that change the rules. Dicey Dungeons: Reunion added six new episodes.

5. Fast pace

Fights are short and move quickly, making it easy to experiment.
