| Period | Event | Revisit |
|---|---|---|

Characters and roles (spoilers)
Open answers or major spoilers
| Character | Role | Relationship check |
|---|---|---|
| Mara Forest | Visitor searching for Edward Crow | She introduces herself as an agent and enters the closed park. Her identity and motives are discussed only in the story disclosure. |
| Edward Crow | Park owner | The missing owner. Follow his actions through dated documents, the explanation of gold and the underground facilities. |
| Natalie Crow | Edward’s daughter | She is connected to events through her family. Compare later records with her conversations instead of deciding their meaning immediately. |
| Arthur Mole | Photographer and injured visitor | Help him with a Med Kit and return him to the car. Speaking to him there also matters for an achievement. |
| Julie Baron | Lawyer | Speak to her after helping her in the hallway; her assistance matters for the Seven Seas controls. |
| Tolman | Park foreman | His office and recordings connect to underground progress. Compare conversations with records and check the underground-power interaction. |
| Harrison James | Police officer | Keep his role distinct from Mara’s introduction. Assuming Mara is a former police officer misreads the relationship. |
| Marvin Trumble | Edward’s business associate | Watch the flashlight state during the Arcade conversation, and read it alongside records about gold and the business. |
Mara Forest poses as an agent but is Elaine Marshall, injured in 1988: fifteen at the accident and seventeen two years later. Connecting her scars, infection and assumed identity explains her reason for seeking Crow.
Natalie is Edward’s daughter. Separate Julie’s legal role from the truth of Mara’s introduction, checking conversations for whom each person came to find or help.
The underground and Guests (major spoilers)
Open answers or major spoilers
The Guests below the park are not simply infected employees transformed into monsters. They are connected to people arriving from the future through a damaged means of travel. Distinguishing the infection from the Guests’ origin is central to understanding the finale.
The Crow family’s wealth is tied to golden roots cut from below ground. The Brazilian-mine explanation is incomplete; the park and underground facilities conceal the extraction. Because those roots also serve the travel mechanism, cutting them damages the arriving people.
Guest deformities concern damaged travel, while Elaine’s illness concerns infection. Merging them into a rule that every infected person becomes a Guest misreads the ending. Reconsider the cure through that distinction.
The contrast between cheerful attractions and extraction machinery connects the park’s surface with its hidden workings. Do not declare every joke or decoration a code; compare it with the records.
The letter and final scene (major spoilers)
Open answers or major spoilers
At the Lab, examine the cure vials and the first Guest’s note. Crow gives Elaine the medicine, jumps into the Pool and returns changed for the final encounter. Read the note alongside the dialogue before interpreting the finale.
The survivors’ escape and treatment leave room for hope without proving that every future problem is solved. Ground interpretations in the final scene and letter. Family bonds, extraction and exploitation, and responsibility toward the future are readings of the story, not additional confirmed events.
Finishing the fight without reading the letter can obscure why cutting the roots mattered. Before judging the ending, connect the first Guest’s message with Crow’s final decision.
Reading the themes (interpretation)
Open answers or major spoilers
The distance between the profit from continued extraction and the people harmed supports an environmental or exploitation reading. This does not establish a particular real-world treaty, person or policy as an explicit in-game fact.
The quiet fireplace saves can be read alongside the final survivors around a fire. Hope and a guaranteed solution to the future crisis are different claims.
Retro presentation and survival-horror conventions encourage expectations of infection and secret experiments. The letter and identity reveal let you reconsider assumptions that merge Guests with infection.
Rereading checklist
- Note dates and ages, separating the 1990 opening from the 1988 accident. Compare the two-year closure with events described in conversations.
- Check who knows what in each conversation. Crow’s knowledge, researchers’ knowledge and visitors’ understanding are not identical.
- Separate observed events, the letter’s explanation and interpretation. Do not overfill the details of the future or everything Crow saw there.
Frequently asked questions
Does this page spoil the game?
Yes. The timeline, people, underground and letter sections contain major revelations and start closed. Before a clear, consult only the walkthrough stage you need.
How should I read Mara’s introduction?
The closed character and timeline sections explain her introduction and actual identity. Before finishing, leave them closed and follow the in-game dialogue first.
How do Guests and infection differ?
Guest origins and infection need to be read as different mechanisms. The distinction is explained inside the closed revelation section.
Is every interpretation officially confirmed?
Events are cross-checked against sources; environmental, exploitation and hope readings are marked as interpretation. The thematic readings remain interpretations.
