Crow Country Ending and Ranks: Finale Preparation and B/A/S Rewards
The main ending and clear ranking are separate systems. Review the final route, preparations and official B/A/S unlock rewards. Collection and rank attempts are distinguished, with story revelations in closed disclosures.
Preparation without the story reveal
Before the final approach, check your save, ammunition, healing and missed secrets. Separate seeing the finale on a first run from later collection or rank attempts.
- Keep ammunition for firearms you can use reliably and identify a safe save room. Check return access in your current progression; save duplication on every platform is not guaranteed.
- Compare the secrets map with all fifteen pickups. If aiming for Secret Hunter or Wishes Granted, resolve missing pickups before committing to the endgame.
- Do not refuse necessary healing merely for rank. Separate seeing the ending from a rank attempt and read the results for the selected mode.
Separate the ending from collection goals
| System | Confirmed scope | Keep separate |
|---|---|---|
| Main finale | Progress through Lab and final encounter | The unsupported five named branches |
| Secret Hunter | Achievement for fifteen secrets | finding map markers alone |
| Wishes Granted | Upgrade all four main weapons | An equipped-weapon ending rule |
| Rank | Results and B/A/S unlock rewards | A branch that transfers the whole inventory |
Final-approach procedure (answers)

- After Golden Key, separate the Seven Seas, Root SUN and Crow’s Office objectives and retrieve Battery. Record opening a room and collecting its item as separate tasks.
- Charge the battery in Root TUE and operate the central crow. If it remains rotated, recheck the panel, installed battery, orientation and walk-cycle control in order.
- Read the lantern count for each central-underground gate. Rather than firing at unrelated lamps, identify the gate you need and its required lit count.
- Save in the Lab, check the medicine, documents and dialogue, then continue to the finale. Check the medicine and note before entering the final fight.
- Keep room to move and attack with available firearms when there is a clear line. A fixed three-stage HP script, instant-kill timer and required ammunition counts are unverified.
What happens at the ending (major spoilers)

Mara Forest poses as an agent but is Elaine Marshall, injured in 1988: fifteen at the accident and seventeen two years later. Connecting her scars, infection and assumed identity explains her reason for seeking Crow.
The Guests below the park are not simply infected employees transformed into monsters. They are connected to people arriving from the future through a damaged means of travel. Distinguishing the infection from the Guests’ origin is central to understanding the finale.
The Crow family’s wealth is tied to golden roots cut from below ground. The Brazilian-mine explanation is incomplete; the park and underground facilities conceal the extraction. Because those roots also serve the travel mechanism, cutting them damages the arriving people.
At the Lab, examine the cure vials and the first Guest’s note. Crow gives Elaine the medicine, jumps into the Pool and returns changed for the final encounter. Read the note alongside the dialogue before interpreting the finale.
The survivors’ escape and treatment leave room for hope without proving that every future problem is solved. Ground interpretations in the final scene and letter. Family bonds, extraction and exploitation, and responsibility toward the future are readings of the story, not additional confirmed events.

Limits of this ending guide
This guide covers the main finale and official achievement conditions. It is not a hands-on inventory of every hidden scene, costume or variation across updates. Check current game screens for additional scenes and hard-mode criteria.
Frequently asked questions
Are ending and collection requirements the same?
The main ending, fifteen secrets, four weapon upgrades and rank rewards are separate goals. Follow the story to its finale, then plan unfinished collection and evaluation conditions separately.
Does S rank unlock a true ending?
The official S-rank achievement unlocks Crow Wings. It is not treated here as a requirement for a differently named ending.
Does saving rule out S rank?
Standard and hard mode are not treated as identical. Play records differ and official hard-mode requirements change, so zero saves is not asserted for every mode.
What if I missed the final letter?
The letter matters to understanding the Guests and roots. Check whether your save allows rereading it; the story disclosure separates events from interpretation.
Version scope and verification limits
Scope: the main Crow Country game. Official information is cross-checked with firsthand play records; this is not a hands-on full clear or verification on every platform. Controls vary by version and platform. All Murder of Crows values, rank thresholds and individual gas allocations remain unchecked.
