📸 FilmingTechnique

Frame the creature so its behavior is readable

No fixed multiplier

Avoid entering danger for a close-up. Film briefly from a position where both the subject and retreat route remain visible.

Keep the route in mind during a chase

No fixed multiplier

Avoid backing into another enemy or a drop while looking through the camera. Stop recording if needed to regain a safe route.

Decide on rescue when a teammate is caught

No fixed multiplier

Assign rescue and route observation instead of prolonging a capture for footage. Avoid increasing the injury merely for a shot.

Check lighting and enemy reactions in darkness

No fixed multiplier

Use charged lights to read the route and distinguish light-reactive threats such as EyeGuy. Judge whether the subject and the route can be read clearly.

🧠 Movement and planningTechnique

Finish extraction and upload after returning

No fixed multiplier

Bringing the camera home is part of the cycle: extract, upload to SpöökTube and check views before preparing for the next excursion.

Vary subjects when there is room to do so

No fixed multiplier

Do not keep following the same subject indefinitely. Try another event when oxygen and recording time allow. Variety alone does not guarantee a fixed multiplier.

Assign filming and observation roles

No fixed multiplier

Share observation so the operator does not have to track every hazard. Use a confident operator, but rotate when needed.

Agree on passing and recovering the camera

No fixed multiplier

Call out danger and pass the camera when possible. After a fall, judge recovery risk rather than losing everyone in the attempt.

🎥 EquipmentTechnique

Buy equipment for actual needs

No fixed multiplier

Cover lighting, medical and rescue needs before recording extras. Check what the team actually lacks before spending on recording extras.

Charge lights and share consumables within available slots

No fixed multiplier

Distinguish consumables such as flares from rechargeable lights. Allocate the amount the team needs while leaving room for the camera and rescue tools.

👥 Co-op coordinationTechnique

Share safe positions without surrounding the enemy

No fixed multiplier

Check cover, reactions and the retreat route without forcing a surround. Agree on a signal to stop filming.

Agree on regrouping and when to return

No fixed multiplier

Share branch duties, a meeting point and oxygen checks. Call out positions when lost rather than independently heading deeper.

❓ Filming FAQ

How can I improve SpöökTube views?

Prioritize footage that frames creatures and their interactions while leaving a way to bring the camera home. Try another subject when oxygen and time allow rather than pursuing one indefinitely. Use the quota display to judge progress; no fixed view bonus is guaranteed for one shot or item.

How can I avoid losing footage?

Complete the whole cycle: return to the diving bell with the camera, then extract and upload at base. If the operator falls, decide whether a teammate can recover it without losing everyone. Returning safely and completing extraction and upload are separate checks.

How should we divide roles?

With four players, agree on filming, observation, leading and checking the return route. Combine or rotate roles to suit the group. Leading does not mean surrounding a creature to force a shot; share oxygen, recording time and the decision to return.

What matters most for teamwork?

Before leaving, share the route, encounter plan and meeting point for injuries. During the trip, call out positions and hazards so the operator keeps a way out. Equipment and role assignments still need to yield to the decision to return when conditions worsen.
