Wonder Project J: Kikai no Shounen Pino Guides
An adventure-style raising simulation about the robot boy Pino. You only advise him; he judges situations and acts independently. Development plans, event requirements, and ending branches are important.
English translation of the existing Japanese guide. Japanese-release names and mechanics are retained; this is not a new gameplay verification or a claim of complete coverage.
Problem: Pino is not developing as intended
Cause: Your guidance is inconsistent
Solution: Choose a focus such as offense, evasion, or intelligence and consistently praise related actions
Problem: Events fail to trigger and progress stops
Cause: Required development parameters are insufficient
Solution: Check the necessary parameters on a wiki and encourage actions that improve them
Problem: You cannot reach the desired ending
Cause: An event required for the branch was missed
Solution: Check the ending-condition list, return to a pre-branch save, meet the requirements, and try again
🚶 An overview of educational adventure through Tinker
Control Tinker, not Pino, and point out onscreen people and objects. Pino independently approaches or touches them; observing him and responding is central to progression. Tinker picks up and carries items, giving them to Pino when needed. The opening laboratory introduces basic actions such as sitting on a chair and picking things up.
Story progression and guiding Pino — read →👏 Shape Pino's behavior and abilities through praise and scolding
Praise immediately after success or desirable behavior reinforces that action and raises related parameters. Offense, athletics, intelligence, and sensitivity develop differently according to the action. Kicking a ball, for example, strengthens his legs while potentially lowering another ability: specialization has tradeoffs. Repeat and praise the relevant action to develop a chosen ability.
Teaching through praise and scolding — read →🎒 Show and give tools to teach their use
When Tinker picks up a tool and gives it to Pino, he tries to use it. Initial attempts often fail: praise correct use to reinforce it and scold mistakes. Tools support different practice actions, including throwing or kicking rubber balls, hoeing fields, and swinging sticks or swords. Repetition improves both proficiency and related abilities.
