Weapons such as Laser improve through resource upgrades. Distinguish weak damage from a late return, then compare relevant branches and costs. Check weapon upgrades separately from supplements found while exploring.

Check options such as Engineer drill strength. Evaluate drilling power, carrying capacity and return speed separately, spending on the part of the current route that consumes time.
